TRUTH is a person, according to Henry Blackaby. The western world keeps in its mind that the LORD Jesus Christ is embodiment of TRUTH. All other truths, principles, standards, social-economic-scientific, and philosophical laws point to the ultimate TRUTH. Gjergj Kastrioti is embodiment of truth and the western principles and values upon which the Albanian nation has been struggling to be build upon. Freedom equals (requires) Responsibility, according to the inference of Immanuel Kant in his second critique called: “Critique of Practical Reason” (1788), and just like Christ is the symbol of freedom for the western world so is Gjergj Kastrioti for our country. Free to learn, speak, love, worship, believe, choose, act, work, teach, discover, inquire, associate, prosper, etc., which is the key to a former totalitarian ruled country like Albania under Communism.
“He who saves a life, saves an entire world,” was the punch line in the end of the movie known as “Schindler’s List.” We want to save and change lives of people for the better through this university foundation. If Napoleon Bonaparte said that “Fear and Interest push mankind ahead,” we want to prove that “Love pushes mankind ahead.” Mother Teresa said in Songs of Ballantine that “I do not believe in the big way of doing things. Love starts at home, first your own, then your neighbor, town, city, country, and then the world.” Love is supreme, it is above all. Let us make Gjergj Kastrioti University Foundation, (501) (c) (3) non-for-profit, built up on TRUTH, Freedom, and Love the model to build the nation(s) for the glory of God. History:
The vision of Gjergj Kastrioti University Foundation is: “Freedom I brought you not, I found it already in your midst.” -Gjergj Kastrioti (Scanderbeg). All the other derivations and qualities of life such as: love, joy, peace, health, happiness, prosperity, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, leadership, servanthood, stewardship, etc, he brought them not; but he found them already in their hearts (midst). Gjergj Kastrioti (1405-1468), also known as Scanderbeg (his Turkish name given to him by the Ottomans, which means Alexander the Great), brought freedom to his nation of Albania and the rest of Europe by defending his country from the Ottoman Turks, who wanted to invade the country, then Vatican City and the rest of the Christian Europe. Gjergj Kastrioti is our National Hero, the figure of Christ to the nation of Albania and Europe. In his helmet were carved in Latin language the initials, the meaning of which it was: “Jesus of Nazareth Blesses Scanderbeg the Prince of Mat the King of Albania the Terror to the Turks the King of Epirus.” Pope Pius II and Pope Paul II have called him as “The Christian Gideon,” “The Sword of Christianity,” “The Pillar of the Holy Church,” etc. in Edwin Jacques, 1995. “The Albanians: An Ethnic History from Pre-Historic Times to the Present.”)
Today, in the heart of Tirana, there is a main monument of Scanderbeg upon a horse. Gjergj Kastrioti’s monument is also in his birthplace in Kruja, in Prishtina, Kosovo, in Skopje, Macedonia, in Rome, in Brussels, etc. Marin Barlet wrote the first book on “History of Scanderbeg,” in the 16th century.
