Opening the new academic year at the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering

Today we kicked off the 2026–27 academic year at Epoka University with the FAE Opening Training, hosted in the Conference Hall of the E Building.

The highlight was the invited talk by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Artan Hysa, “Visualizing the Research Idea from Concept to Publication: Sharing Experiences”, a stimulating reflection on how visual tools and techniques can strengthen architectural and engineering research, from the first idea to the published paper.

The morning also celebrated the Best Young Researcher and Best Academic Performance awards. Congratulations to all the awardees, and thank you to everyone who joined us. Here’s to a productive and inspiring year ahead!

🌍 EPOKA University at the 19th Education & Technology Doctoral Summer School
We are proud to have contributed to the 19th Education & Technology Doctoral Summer School, held in Dresden, Germany, 14–18 September 2026, under the theme: “Global Strands in Digital Participation Research”.

Hosted by IU Internationale Hochschule and Technische Universität Dresden, the international programme brought together around 60 researchers from 10 countries across three continents, exploring the future of education, technology, artificial intelligence, digital participation and future skills.

As part of the academic exchange, EPOKA PhD students Ardita Dorti, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, and Sabrina Begaj, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Computer Engineering, participated in a month-long academic exchange with TU Dresden, supporting knowledge exchange and preparation for the Summer School.

EPOKA University also organised the online phase, contributing to international academic collaboration and connecting researchers beyond geographical boundaries.

The programme featured keynotes, workshops, research presentations, poster sessions, networking and cultural activities, creating opportunities to exchange ideas and build future research collaborations.
