EPOKA University Participates in the 7th International Staff Week at the University of Tuscia

From 8–12 June 2026, representatives of EPOKA University took part in an international gathering hosted by the University of Tuscia, Italy, under the theme “Artificial Intelligence, Inclusion and Sustainability in Higher Education.”

Representing EPOKA University, Dr. Sadullah Yılmaz, MSc Morena Shima, and MSc Sümeyra Uyurca attended keynote speeches, thematic workshops, networking sessions, and discussions focused on artificial intelligence, internationalisation, Erasmus+ mobility, sustainability, and innovation in higher education.

One of the highlights of the event was the keynote address delivered by Antonella Sberna, who emphasized the European Union’s continued commitment to investing in education and highlighted the strategic role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future of higher education, research, and international mobility.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in a rich programme of workshops, panel discussions, and institutional presentations covering topics such as the ethical use of AI in education, Erasmus+ opportunities, internationalisation strategies, sustainability, and inclusive educational practices. The event also provided valuable opportunities for networking and establishing new collaborations with representatives from universities around the world.

Participation in the Staff Week enabled EPOKA University to strengthen its international partnerships, exchange best practices, and explore new opportunities for future collaboration in education, research, and Erasmus+ projects, further supporting the university’s commitment to innovation and internationalisation.

🌍 EPOKA University at Erasmus+ Staff Week in Prague

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alba Kruja represented EPOKA University at the Erasmus+ International Staff Week on “Mental Health and Wellbeing of Students and Staff” hosted by Charles University (5–10 June 2026).

The event brought together university representatives from around the world to exchange ideas on fostering wellbeing, inclusion, resilience, and supportive learning environments in higher education.

During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kruja also met with representatives of the Institute of Economic Studies to strengthen Erasmus+ cooperation, expand student mobility opportunities, and explore future academic collaborations.

This participation reflects EPOKA University’s ongoing commitment to internationalization, academic excellence, and enhancing the student and staff experience through global partnerships.

Prof. Dr. Piotr Lorens Visits EPOKA University under Erasmus+

EPOKA University was pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Piotr Lorens from Gdańsk University of Technology, Poland, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. Prof. Lorens is an internationally recognized urban planner and researcher, serving as the Head of the Department of Urban Design and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Architecture of Gdańsk University of Technology.

During his visit, Prof. Lorens met with Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bilgin, Rector of EPOKA University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edmond Manahasa, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering; Dr. Egin Zeka, Head of the Department of Architecture; and Dr. Armando Demaj, Head of the International Relations Office.

The meetings focused on strengthening academic cooperation between EPOKA University and Gdańsk University of Technology, exploring opportunities for future collaboration in education and research, and exchanging experiences and best practices in architecture, urban planning, and sustainable urban development.

The visit provided a valuable platform for discussing potential joint initiatives, academic mobility opportunities, and international partnerships, further contributing to the internationalization efforts of both institutions through the Erasmus+ Programme.
