🎓 Bachelor Diploma Defenses in Landscape Architecture | Shaping the Next Generation of Professionals 🌿

This week, the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture proudly witnessed the successful defense of Bachelor Diploma Projects by our Landscape Architecture students.

The quality, depth, and professionalism demonstrated throughout the presentations reflected not only the students’ dedication and creativity, but also the remarkable growth of the Landscape Architecture program over the years. From comprehensive site analyses and ecological assessments to detailed design proposals and visualizations, the projects showcased a strong ability to address contemporary environmental, social, and urban challenges through landscape-based solutions.

These diploma projects are a clear testament to how far our students have come—developing the skills to think critically, design responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to the future of our cities, public spaces, and natural environments.

As a department, we are particularly proud to see students integrating principles of sustainability, biodiversity, ecological restoration, and human-centered design into their work, reflecting the evolving role of Landscape Architects in addressing the complex challenges of the 21st century.

We congratulate all graduating students on this important milestone and thank the academic staff, mentors, and jury members whose guidance and commitment continue to strengthen the education of future landscape architecture professionals.

The future of Landscape Architecture in Albania is in capable hands. 🌱

🌿📺 Arkitektura e Peizazhit për qytete më të gjelbra dhe më të qëndrueshme

Në rubrikën “Indeksi i Gjelbër” në RTSH, Silvi Jano, lektor në Departamentin e Hortikulturës dhe Arkitekturës së Peizazhit, pranë Universitetit Bujqësor të Tiranës, ndau perspektiva mbi rolin e hapësirave të gjelbra në zhvillimin e qëndrueshëm urban.

Diskutimi u fokusua në infrastrukturën e gjelbër, duke trajtuar tema si zbutja e fenomenit të ishullit të nxehtësisë urbane, rritja e reziliencës klimatike dhe potenciali i zgjidhjeve inovative, përfshirë tarracat e gjelbra, në kontekstin e zhvillimit të qyteteve shqiptare.

Në një kohë kur sfidat mjedisore dhe urbane po bëhen gjithnjë e më komplekse, formimi i profesionistëve të aftë për të planifikuar dhe projektuar hapësira të qëndrueshme është më i rëndësishëm se kurrë. Për maturantët që do të zgjedhin programin e studimit në muajt në vijim, “Planifikim dhe Arkitekturë Peizazhi”, pranë Fakultetit të Bujqësisë dhe Mjedisit, Universiteti Bujqësor i Tiranës, përfaqëson një mundësi të shkëlqyer për të ndërtuar një karrierë që ndërthur natyrën, planifikimin urban dhe zhvillimin e qëndrueshëm.

Falënderojmë stafin e emisionit “Eja te Ne”, prezantueset Iva Shaba dhe Antoneta Koçi për mikpritjen dhe profesionalizmin, si dhe Eva Idrizllarin për hapësirën e dedikuar promovimit të temave që lidhen me mjedisin, zhvillimin e qëndrueshëm dhe të ardhmen e qyteteve tona.

🌱 Qytetet e së ardhmes kanë nevojë për më shumë gjelbërim, më shumë planifikim dhe më shumë profesionistë të peizazhit.

University of Milan, Landscape LAB: Green and Wellbeing

Students of the Landscape Architecture program were given the opportunity to join a 2 day share of the long-time experience of Prof. Giulio Senes in research and practice for storm-water management, nature based solutions and healing gardens. The students learned theoretical background for each of the topics, and also were presented with real life projects, their design approach and post-design impact in human wellbeing in different contexts.

🌿📐 Përmbyllja e Studio 4 | Rivitalizimi Urban

Studio 4 në programin BSc. Arkitekturë Peizazhi u mbyll me diskutime intensive, ide të guximshme dhe shumë energji krijuese nga studentët e vitit të III-të.

Gjatë studios, studentët eksploruan rivitalizimin e hapësirave urbane përmes një qasjeje të integruar, duke kombinuar infrastrukturën e gjelbër dhe atë blu, tipologjitë bashkëkohore të peizazhit dhe mendimin kritik mbi funksionin ekologjik, social dhe estetik të qytetit.

Nga analiza në koncept, e deri te propozimet hapësinore – kjo studio shërbeu si një laborator real për të kuptuar kompleksitetin e ndërhyrjeve urbane 🌍

👏 U urojmë studentëve shumë suksese në studion përmbyllëse të semestrit të ardhshëm dhe mezi presim të shohim se ku do t’i çojë ky rrugëtim profesional!

From concept to regenerative landscapes 🌱📐

A glimpse into Advanced Studio II – Permaculture Design (Semester II, MSc Landscape Architecture), where students explore landscape as a living system shaped by ecology, productivity, and long-term resilience.

The studio focuses on translating site analysis into permaculture-informed design strategies — integrating productive landscapes, orchards, water management, outdoor living spaces, and regenerative systems. Through masterplans, sections, and spatial narratives, each project reflects a holistic approach where human use and ecological processes evolve together.

Proud to guide and collaborate with a motivated group of future landscape architects, shaping landscapes that are not only designed, but cultivated.
