The Caribbean Union of Teachers CUT Launches Regional and International Campaign In Solidarity with the Guyana Teachers Union

A&BUT has successfully hosted the first in what will be an ongoing series of training sessions for Staff Representatives across our schools.

The session focused on the vital roles and responsibilities of Staff Representatives on their respective school plants, including effective advocacy, communication, confidentiality, professionalism and supporting colleagues through workplace concerns.

Staff Representatives are the essential link between union members and A&BUT. Equipping them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to serve effectively strengthens both our schools and our union.

We thank all Staff Representatives who participated and contributed to the meaningful discussions. This is only the beginning as A&BUT remains committed to providing continued training, guidance and support.

Stronger representatives. Better-supported members. A stronger union.
