According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:
1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)
1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve math's, memorize things, and recall lessons.
2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.
3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.
People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.
A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.
Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.
Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:
4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.
When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.
Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.
Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.
copied
Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road."

✅How to improve the Speaking skill

Tips on improving the TOEFL speaking!

1️⃣ Collect pictures from magazines, newspapers or the Internet. Look at each picture, and describe it in one minute. Try describing the same picture more than once, using different adjectives and adding details.

2️⃣ Think for 20 seconds about what you did yesterday, then talk about it for 45 seconds. Remember to use verbs in the past tense. You can do the same thing to talk about what you will do tomorrow, using verbs in the future tense.

3️⃣ Think about a problem that has more than one possible solution. Talk about which solution you think is best. Make a recommendation on how a person should proceed with handling the problem.

4️⃣ Find an online newspaper from an English-speaking university. Look for topics like admissions, housing, student activities, registering for classes, school-improvement plans, sports, and more. Then choose an article to discuss with a speaking partner or study group.

5️⃣ Find listening and reading material that are both about the same topic. The material can contain similar or different views. Then prepare an outline for a one-minute talk that includes your opinion, two points to support your opinion, and one detail or reason to support each point.

6️⃣ Read a short news article, and record yourself summarizing it. Then create a transcript of the recording by writing down exactly what you said. Review the transcript, and think of other ways of saying the same thing.

7️⃣ Find textbooks in English that include study questions at the end of each chapter, and practice answering the questions out loud. Start with subjects you’re familiar with, then move on to less familiar subjects.

Tips to Improve your Reading ⭐️

We spend a lot more time reading than we realize. From articles to memos to memes, the words just keep coming. Reading is a skill just like any other - one that can be strengthened and sharpened over time.

The school never taught you HOW to learn - only WHAT to learn. But our world is changing fast…and what you learned 20 years ago (or even 5!) might not be relevant today.

Leave alone

✅ Speed

✅ Focus

✅ Comprehension

✅ Retention

The following tips are worth mentioning

1️⃣ Time yourself. Keep track of how long it takes you to address EACH question.
2️⃣ Learn to recognize each type of question. There are 8 different types of questions in the reading section. Make sure you know how to spot them and how to address their requirements.
3️⃣ Don't be afraid to read topics you are not familiar with. Some subjects could be more challenging for you than for other students. For instance: subjects in the following areas tend to be considered "challenging" → Astronomy - Literature - History - Psychology - Anthropology - Botany.
4️⃣ Get used to reading with distractions around you. Turn on the TV while you are reading, open a window and let ambiance noise come in.
5️⃣ Use the features of the Reading section. This is the only section in the whole test that allows you to go back and forth if you get stuck in one question; don't be afraid to skip it and come back to it later.
6️⃣ Learn the proper way to use the elimination technique. This is by far the best method to narrow down your choices.
7️⃣ Do not settle just knowing the number of mistakes you are making. Make sure understand the reasons behind your errors.
8️⃣ Skip questions if needed, do not waste time by going over and over again over a particular question. If you can't locate the answer, skip the question.
9️⃣ Commit to completing at least one passage per day.

Common Mistake:
A lot of English learners say that they "sleep late".

But "sleep late" is not about the time that you start sleeping.

"Sleep late" is about the time that you wake up.

Sleep late = sleep late into the morning (wake up late)

I slept late this morning. I woke up at 11am.✅

A person who wakes up later than most people is also called a "late sleeper".

John is a late sleeper. He is always the last person to wake up.✅

To talk about the time that you start sleeping, you need to say "go to sleep late" or "go to bed late".

I went to sleep late last night because I was reading a book until 2am.✅
