Imam Rabbani Institute is a privately run Islamic Seminary based in Herat, Afghanistan. We are committed to delivering a high-quality education grounded in classical texts, while also integrating contemporary sciences taught by top-tier educators. Our Advanced Islamic Studies Program is designed to support students in their final years of study, a crucial time for intellectual and spiritual development. We have implemented a rigorous selection process, recruiting top students from affiliated schools based on their academic achievements. As a prerequisite, students must have completed at least 4 years at a beginner to intermediate level in Arabic, Grammar, and Fiqh. In this program they will be studying the higher texts under the tutelage of renowned scholars in a private setting to ensure they receive the necessary tools and resources required for their scholarly growth. We boast a rigorous 4 year curriculum, which covers all the fundamental classical texts (Mutun). This curriculum is divided into Intermediate level (first 2 years) and Advanced level (final 2 years). Intermediate Level:
Proficiency in Classical Arabic, advanced Sarf and Nahw up to Sharh Mulla Jami. Covering creed (ʿAqīdah) up to Sharh Aqaid Nasafi, Rhetoric (mantiq) upto Qutbi, Jurisprudence (Hidaya) and Legal Theory (usul al fiqh) upto Noorul Anwar and Hussami. Strong foundations in the methodology and principles of Qurʾānic Exegesis Tafsir Jalalain, and Hadith. Advanced Level:
The ability to read knowledge transmitted from the Oral Tradition and the Science of Hadith (Usul al hadith). Advanced studies in Hadith in the 3rd year Mishkaat al Masabeeh and Sharh Ma'ani al Athaar. Advanced studies in the principles of Qurʾānic Exegesis Tafsir Baydawi and Usul al Tasfseer. Advanced studies in Hadith in the final year, Sihaah Sita (six authentic books of Hadith) and the two Muataas of Imam Malik and Imam Muhammad. All students are required to attend weekly gatherings under the guidance of prominent scholars that focus on purification of the Heart, Tongue, Mind, and Body to ensure the proper spiritual growth and mindset that is required of a student of knowledge. After completing this 4 year program, students will receive a formal Ijaza in the related sciences from their esteemed teachers.
