No NEET mandate to study medicine overseas this year "2018"
In a major relief to many MBBS aspirants, The High Court of Delhi in a judgement passed on September 27, 2018, declared that students who have NEET unqualified can enroll in an overseas medical college this year. This is a one-time exemption that the court has granted.
The Union health ministry in February had approved the proposal of the Medical Council of India (MCI) to make it mandatory to pass NEET to obtain an eligibility certificate (EC) to pursue courses in foreign medical colleges. This had come as a major draw back for many students. However, in a major relief to the students who did not register for NEET this year, the Delhi High Court had recently announced a one-time exemption.

On 10th September, 2018, First Year Students’ Orientation Day was held at David Tvildiani Medical University. The day was aimed to introduce learning environment and specifics of the university to the new students. University’s Dean Mrs. Nino Bregvadze, Pro-Rector Mr. Sergo Tabagari and 1st year student’s coordinator Mrs. Nanuka Gugushvili gave the speech during this ceremony. They spoke in general about profession of a doctor and related challenges, as well as about United States Medical Licensing Examination and DTMU’s graduates’ achievements. Apart from that, they presented to students their future perspectives and challenging stages, which they will encounter during the 6 years of studying process.

Is the NEET required for an MBBS abroad in 2018?
Yes, NEET would be a must for all those who want to enter Medicine. In India or abroad. For studying abroad you've to get marks more than qualifying marks which were 50 percentile in the past years. So, if you think that studying abroad doesn't need any entrance exam then you're wrong . If you're writing your boards this year then do concentrate on NEET as well. If you get a good score then there wouldn't be any problem in getting an NOC i.e eligibility certificate from MCI/NMC..
