Today we celebrate a remarkable milestone. Judy Mendes completes 37 years of service at GEMS Modern Academy, a journey that began in 1989 when she arrived from Mumbai and stepped into her very first classroom.
Over nearly four decades, Judy has risen from Primary Teacher to Assistant Head of Primary, mentoring colleagues and shaping generations of students along the way. Through every chapter of the school's growth, her belief has stayed the same: that every child has something worth nurturing.
As Modern marks 40 years, we're proud to honour one of the educators who helped make it what it is. Judy's journey reflects the GEMS story at its best, a lifetime of commitment to students and to the community around her.
