Every child, their own perfect first day!
Today the last group of our existing students walked back through the gates. The reopening was planned in batches, so every child, whichever day they arrived, would get the same warm welcome.
It was the little ones who were overjoyed! The mascot barely had time to wave before a bunch of them just ran up and wrapped their arms around it, just that uncomplicated kind of happiness only kids seem to have. The older kids played it cooler. They headed for the photo point, trying to look effortless while clearly enjoying every second of it. And walking through the corridors, the decorations, the little touches everywhere, made the spaces feel welcoming. It was the school trying to make sure every child walking back in felt like they mattered.

Back to School. Back to Joy!
The gates swung open and so did a thousand smiles! From our ever-cheerful security personnel welcoming everyone with a warm nod, to the chorus of "Hi!", "Hello!", "It feels SO good to be back!" echoing through the corridors, Day One of the New Academic Year was pure magic! Our Principal, Dr. Terry, teachers, and support staff were all out in full force, greeting students with hugs, high-fives, and heartwarming smiles, because at our school, EVERYONE matters, and EVERYONE was missed! The campus bubbled up with life again! Excited chatter, reunions, new friends, fun back-to-school activities, the first lessons of a brand-new journey and recess laughter that never gets old. Every corner was filled with energy, excitement, and that unmistakable………. JOY of being back at school!

The Hope Weekly Update!

A Warm Welcome to Our New Principal
We are honoured to introduce Dr. Terry Burwell as the newly appointed Principal of The Hope English School, Sharjah. Dr. Burwell brings an extraordinary depth of experience to our community, entering his 35th year in education, with 30 of those years spent leading schools as a Principal. A retired Principal from Ontario, Canada, his journey has taken him from Riyadh to the UAE, where he has served since 2019. Holding a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and having taught at the Queen's University Graduate School of Education. Dr. Burwell was appointed by the Prime Minister of Canada to help select the annual Canadian Teacher of Excellence Award in STEM Education. He also served as one of the 20 principals chosen to advise Ontario's Minister of Education on policies and programmes impacting students across the province. And now, it is our privilege to have Dr. Terry join us on our NPE mission in educating the leaders of tomorrow. Please join us in giving Dr. Burwell a warm welcome to The Hope English School family!
Dr. Terry, in his own words: "I can't think of a higher moral purpose than to be entrusted with the care of educating children. I'm excited to be working with the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and to take our school from its present rating to an even higher one. Please join me in this journey as we embark together."
