Our Model United Nations (MUN) students stepped into the world of diplomacy and global problem-solving last week.
Representing different countries, they debated pressing issues including nuclear weapons, privacy, and environmental concerns. The day took an unexpected turn when a crisis scenario saw the Secretary-General "kidnapped," challenging students to collaborate, negotiate, and develop creative solutions for his rescue.
An engaging day of critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership in action!

Physics in action!
Our High School students became teachers for the day as they demonstrated physics concepts to our Elementary students. Through engaging experiments with light waves, pendulums, balloon rockets, and static electricity, they brought science to life for our younger learners. It was wonderful to see our older students sharing their knowledge and inspiring the next generation of scientists!

Each month we focus on one of our 9 Qualities for Life. June is the month of Compassion - helping those who are hurting.
٠ We will show love and kindness to others.
٠ We will listen to others before we speak.
Our inspiration this month is Fred Rogers, creator and host of the TV series "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". He used his platform to promote empathy, kindness, and human dignity. He believed that every person had inherent worth and deserved to be treated with love and respect.
He encouraged people to acknowledge their feelings, seek support when needed, and extend understanding to others. One of his most enduring messages was, “I like you just the way you are.”
Fred Rogers also challenged people to welcome those who were different from themselves. He believed that simple acts of kindness and compassion have the power to strengthen communities and change lives.

This group of students did an excellent job representing WellSpring at the Al Sout Student Wellbeing Project finale this week. They submitted artwork, photography, and recycled sculptures around the theme of well-being. Two other students also took to the stage last week to deliver speeches: Jana (Grade 10) and Marian (Grade 6).
Congratulations to Zhan (Grade 12), who earned second place for his impressive eagle sculpture created entirely from recycled materials. A special mention also goes to Caroline (Grade 10), who did an exceptional job as one of the event's Master of Ceremonies.
We are so proud of each of the students who participated and represented our community so well!

Preparing for what’s next!
Over 2 days last week, we welcomed families to our Grade 5–6 and Grade 8–9 Transition Meetings. These sessions provided students and parents with valuable information about the academic, social, and personal growth opportunities that come with the move to Middle School and High School.
By partnering with families and equipping students for the next stage of their journey, we help ensure every WellSpring student steps forward with confidence and clarity, and excitement for the year ahead.

Grade 6 students have been learning how to make a strong argument in English class. At the end of the week, they participated in a rapid debate. 🗣️
They had one minute to prepare their topic and one minute to give their argument. ⏱

Eye exams 👀
For the past two days, has set up its mobile eye clinic at WellSpring, conducting their annual eye examinations for all of our students.
Good eye health plays a vital role in a child’s learning and overall well-being. Regular screenings help identify potential vision concerns early and encourage healthy habits throughout their lives. We are so grateful to the RAK Eye Care Center for their care.

Today the KG2 students visited the Grade 1 classrooms to listen to presentations of their science research projects.
The Grade 1 students shared what they had learned about how adult animals care for, protect, and teach their offspring. 🐬🐆🐝🦧
The KG2 students were encouraged to ask questions, creating an engaging learning experience and meaningful interaction between the two grade levels.
