Did you know that not all languages use helping verbs the same way?
English uses around 23 commonly taught helping verbs, while German relies on 9 main auxiliary and modal verbs. French primarily uses just two auxiliaries: être and avoir.
Languages such as Hindi and Malayalam take a unique approach, combining helping verbs and verb structures to express tense, mood, ability, and continuity in ways that differ significantly from English. Understanding these differences is one of the keys to becoming a confident multilingual speaker.
