PACE Mangaluru has offered a 143 bedded building within the campus to the district officials for quarantine during these very difficult times to help in it’s fight against the *COVID-19* global pandemic. The college and district officials visited the campus to finalise the facilities. People coming into the district undergo a strict quarantine procedure to deflect any chances of a community spread. The visiting district officials included Rajesh Naik - MLA, Rashmi SR - Tahsildar of Bantwal Taluk and a DHO official.

In line with the vision of our great leaders of the UAE to create a generation of book lovers and consolidate U.A.E.’s position as a global capital for culture and knowledge, PACE Education’s Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah highlighted the ‘Year of Reading’ by implementing READING HOUR for all the grades from KG1 to Grade 12.
The letter ‘R’ was formed by around 2000 students of Grades 1, 2 & 3 on Thursday, 27th October 2016 to show support to the great ‘Year of Reading’ initiative.
G.A.E.S in association with Helen O’ Grady Drama academy, campaigned a Reading Event ‘Jump Start’ - Read for the Record.
The campaign book ‘The Bear ate your sandwich’ by Julia Sarcone Roach, which won the prestigious Ezra Jack Keats Award in 2016 was read by 3800 students of KG1 to Grade 4, as well as 211 teachers in an attempt to contribute to create the new Guinness Record for shared reading – the most people reading the same book on the same day all around the world.
The earlier Guinness record for shared reading was achieved in the year 2013 read by 2.46 million people.
