A huge congratulations to Rima Nassef (G8)
Rima was awarded the prestigious First Place Overall Individual Scholar trophy in the Junior Division at the World Scholar’s Cup Dubai Regional Round 2026. An extraordinary achievement that reflects her dedication, intellectual curiosity, and academic excellence. We are so proud of you, Rima!

And the celebrations don’t stop there. Our entire SISD scholar community showed up and delivered in the most incredible way. Across Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge, and Scholar’s Bowl, our students showed up with intellectual courage, teamwork, and a genuine love of learning.

Our Grade 4 Bodyology STEAM Fair was a fantastic showcase of inquiry-based learning. Through the PYP inquiry process, students explored scientific concepts through research, investigation, experimentation, and hands-on demonstrations, showcasing not only their knowledge and understanding but also the critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills developed throughout their learning journey. The depth of inquiry, creativity, and enthusiasm on display was outstanding, and once again our students and teachers surpassed themselves.
Congratulations to the entire Grade 4 team for creating such a memorable and inspiring learning experience.

We are proud to congratulate Ms. Suman Batra on receiving the Best Use of Resources Award (Private Schools Category) at the School Librarian of the Year 2026 Awards, presented by the Emirates Literature Foundation.
This award category recognises exceptional innovation and impact in the use of library resources to advance literacy, research, student leadership, and academic achievement. Through initiatives such as Reading Rockstar, Library Ambassadors, multilingual reading programmes, author celebrations, student-led activities, and the World Scholar’s Cup, Ms. Batra has transformed the library into a dynamic hub of learning, empowering students to become confident readers, skilled researchers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.

This week, we were delighted to welcome our incoming Principal, Pauline Nord, to SISD.

During her visit, students, parents and staff had the opportunity to meet Pauline and share what makes our community so special. Throughout these conversations, the passion, pride and commitment of our community were clear to see.

Pauline also shared her vision for the future of SISD, highlighting the importance of ensuring that our BEST values remain at the heart of everything we do, as we continue to grow and evolve.

We look forward to officially welcoming Pauline in August as she begins her journey with the SISD community and leads us into an exciting new academic year.
