Supporting our students starts with a strong partnership between home and school.

Our recent parent workshops gave families practical guidance to support their children at every stage. KG families joined Ms. Louise (Assistant Principal - KG) to learn how they can help their children settle confidently into KG, while Grades 1 to 5 families explored digital safety and ways to support learning at home using platforms including RAZ, IXL, TTRS, Asafeer, and Alef, with Ms. Fazeela (Head of Data and Assessment), Ms. Vibha (Dean of Students - Elementary), and Ms. Eman (Head of Arabic & Islamic).

Spark Zone has started at Nibras International School!

Our Elementary students are getting into their co-curricular activities, with plenty of opportunities to explore interests, try something different, and enjoy new experiences alongside their classmates.

And that’s exactly what Spark Zone is all about. It’s a space for students to discover what sparks their curiosity and brings out their interests beyond their everyday classroom learning.

Sports, art, music, reading, writing, speaking, and more. Each activity gives our students another way to create, participate, build confidence, and develop new skills while having fun along the way.

These experiences are an important part of life at NIS. By giving students different opportunities to explore, we help them discover their strengths, connect with others, and develop skills that support their growth both in and beyond the classroom.

Our Forensic Science students stepped into the role of crime scene investigators, putting classroom learning into action through a hands-on investigation. 🔎🧪

From carefully examining a simulated crime scene to collecting evidence, documenting observations, and analyzing clues, our students used scientific thinking and attention to detail to build their conclusions. Experiences like these make learning meaningful, helping students strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world application of science.

At Nibras International School, hands-on and inquiry-based learning gives our students opportunities to ask questions, investigate possibilities, and discover how their learning connects to the world beyond the classroom.

Learning their names, one colorful letter at a time!

Our KG learners got hands-on with literacy as they rolled, shaped, and built their names using play dough. While it may look like play, every little movement supports something bigger — from letter recognition and fine motor development to creativity, independence, and confidence.

It’s only the beginning of the school year, and our students already have so much to share about what they’ve been learning!

Our High School Art 1 and Grade 8 Art students took time to talk with their teacher about their learning, what they know, the techniques they are using, and how their work is developing.

It’s great to hear our students confidently explain their artistic choices and, even more importantly, invite their teacher to give feedback on what they can improve and how they can take their work further.

These learning conversations also help our teachers understand what each student needs next, whether that means remediation, accommodation, or acceleration.

By asking questions, seeking feedback, and reflecting on their progress, our students are taking an active role in becoming more confident and intentional learners. 💙

This is what learning at Nibras International School looks like: students having a voice, teachers listening, and learning shaped around what each student needs to keep moving forward.

Many languages. One NIS community. 💙

Our Multilingualism Wall became a special part of our Back-to-School Nights as we invited parents to stop by, pick up a pen, and leave us a message in their own language.

Parents wrote what they wanted to share with our school, our teachers and staff, or simply a thought in the language they speak at home. Seeing the wall fill up throughout the evening gave us a wonderful glimpse into the many languages spoken across our NIS community.

With 100+ nationalities represented at Nibras International School, our differences are part of everyday school life. Giving families the opportunity to express themselves in their own language was a simple but meaningful way to celebrate that.

STARTING THE YEAR ON THE RIGHT NOTE!

Our Grades 3, 4, and 5 students gathered for their first assembly of the academic year, setting the stage for a successful and meaningful year ahead!

During the assembly, students discussed important topics, such as school expectations, digital citizenship, the House Points system, and other essential guidelines to help them navigate the academic year with confidence and responsibility.

These early conversations are an important part of helping our students understand their role within our school community and encouraging them to make thoughtful choices, support one another, and take ownership of their school experience.

For two evenings, our campus welcomed Elementary and Secondary parents and families for our Back to School Nights. 💙

It was an opportunity for our families to step into their children’s school experience, meet our teachers, explore classrooms and learning spaces, and gain a better understanding of what learning will look like across different subjects throughout the year.

Parents had the chance to hear directly from the teachers who will be part of their children’s everyday school life. Walking from classroom to classroom, they learned more about each subject, what students can expect during lessons, and the experiences and milestones that will shape the year ahead.

Most importantly, Back to School Nights strengthened the connection between home and school. When our teachers and families work together, we create a supportive environment where every student can feel encouraged, understood, and ready to grow.

Thank you to all our Elementary and Secondary families who joined us across both evenings. We look forward to a year of learning, progress, and many shared moments ahead. 💙
