Ahead of Father’s Day this weekend, we invited our SRI dads to our Family First Cafe for a morning of coffee, games, and an opportunity to spend some meaningful moments with their children before the school day began.

A huge congratulations to Melanie on an incredible achievement at the CBJJ/IBJJF Brazilian Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship! 🥈
Competing against some of the strongest young athletes, Melanie demonstrated determination, resilience and outstanding skill to secure a Silver Medal in one of the toughest youth jiu-jitsu competitions.

We are proud to celebrate our students who represented SRI at the GEMS Youth Parliament. Through thoughtful discussions on Family First and Children for Peace, they demonstrated confidence, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
Their contributions will help shape future initiatives, including a GEMS-wide Peace Commitment launching in September 2026.

Congratulations to Aaron, Y3A, on an outstanding achievement with his U8 Blue Real Madrid Academy team.
Aaron and his teammates secured victory in the DOFA Cup League Final, marking their second league title of the season, before going on to claim the Championship.
Adding to this remarkable success, Aaron was also named MVP of the Final Match, a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding performance on the pitch.
We are incredibly proud of Aaron and his team on a season filled with success and memorable achievements!

Congratulations to Altair, Y6, on an outstanding achievement at the Abu Dhabi International Fencing Championship.
Competing against a strong field of experienced fencers in the U12 category, Altair was the only athlete to win all of his pool bouts before securing a well-deserved bronze medal.
A fantastic reflection of the dedication, resilience and competitive spirit that we are proud to see our students demonstrate beyond the classroom. We look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.
This morning, our Foundation Stage families joined us for Gymnastics with Me, a parent-child session filled with balancing, jumping, tumbling and plenty of laughter along the way.
From encouraging little leaps of confidence to celebrating every achievement together, it was wonderful to see the energy, enthusiasm and joy shared between parents and children ✨

Yesterday, we welcomed Richard Jones, who joins GEMS School of Research and Innovation as Principal/CEO from August 2027.
Richard spent time getting to know our community, meeting with parents, staff, and students, while exploring the school’s exceptional facilities and learning environments. Through meaningful conversations and valuable insights, he began building an understanding of what makes SRI the Finest School in the World.
We are excited for the journey ahead and look forward to welcoming Richard as he leads the next chapter of innovation, excellence, and opportunity at SRI.
