📰 The Phoenix News is growing!

Our student journalists from Grades 3–12 came together yesterday for their first session of the year, bringing plenty of ideas and enthusiasm for what’s ahead.

It’s exciting to see students working together across the school, sharing their voices and thinking about how we can build on what’s already working and make Issue 5 even better.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the Phoenix News team comes up with this year. Good luck, journalists! ✍️🗞️

Wednesday mornings in Term 1 have become a special part of the week for our Grade 2 and Grade 7 students.

Through our Reading Buddies initiative, Grade 7 students spend time reading with their Grade 2 buddies, sharing stories, talking about what they discover and building connections along the way.

By meeting with the same small group each week, our students have the opportunity to build trust and confidence over time. For our younger learners, it means enjoying books alongside an older role model. For our Grade 7 students, it is a chance to listen, encourage and lead.

Most importantly, it is a wonderful reminder that learning does not only happen in the classroom, - it also happens through the relationships our students build with one another. Well done Grade 2 & Grade 7!

Week Two, done! 💚

With the mornings starting to feel a little fresher, our students have been enjoying more time outdoors during break, catching up with friends, playing, moving and making the most of the cooler weather.

A few happy moments from around campus this week, and a lovely reminder that some of the best parts of the school day happen in between lessons too.

Have a great weekend, Fairgreen! 🌿✨

Our Grade 7 mathematicians have been hard at work exploring fractions in their Maths lessons!

Through problem-solving, discussion and plenty of practice, students are developing their mathematical thinking, making connections and building the confidence to tackle increasingly complex problems. 🧠✨

Keep up the great work, Grade 7! 💚

It was wonderful to welcome our Primary and Secondary families to campus for our Back to School Nights!

A big thank you to all the parents who joined us to meet our teachers, learn more about the year ahead and spend time connecting with our school community.

Strong partnerships between home and school are such an important part of supporting our students, and we are grateful to have our families alongside us for another exciting year of learning and growth. 🌱
