Abs are made in the kitchen shmitshen!
Your whole physical state is made in your mind.
Nov 2018 when I took this picture was at the end of a full year of coaching via ... I was jacked, I was strong and, I was getting lean as you can see from this picture.
BUT in my head - it was a different story.
I had lost my job, I was trying to recover from the mental abuse of the horrible boss I reported to and all I saw back then was
"I'm fat"
"I'm frustrated with the little progress I'm making"
So I stopped. I gave up. I regressed and as I look back now I think
"That's when I thought I was fat"
Today I'm 15kg lighter but 5% fatter and when people say "it's ok - you can go back to that" I say it's not about the physique - it's about the mental state.

Depression is a creepy monster and mine is soothed with food and 0 willingness to exercise.

And yes I realize that I'm not following my own advice but perhaps this could help you re-set your mindset and focus.
Clear your mind because your mental state dictates your physical state
