Puzzle Time at Nurturing Nook!

Little hands and curious minds were hard at work as our children explored and completed puzzles during today’s activity.

Puzzle play is more than just fun—it helps children develop important skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and perseverance. As they carefully matched pieces, turned them around, and worked out where they belonged, our little learners were building confidence and learning that challenges can be overcome with patience and determination.

At Nurturing Nook, we believe that every piece of play helps put together the bigger picture of a child’s learning journey.

Rescue Mission in Progress!

Our little explorers at Nurturing Nook had so much fun using spray bottles filled with water to free the animals trapped inside frozen ice! This hands-on sensory activity strengthened hand muscles, improved fine motor skills, and encouraged problem-solving, patience, and curiosity as the children discovered different ways to melt the ice.

Nurturing Nook Playdate at Air Maniax!

What a fantastic day of fun, laughter, and adventure at Air Maniax! Our little explorers had an amazing time bouncing, climbing, sliding, and playing together during our special playdate.

The children enjoyed developing their gross motor skills, confidence, and social skills as they took turns, encouraged their friends, and created wonderful memories together. Seeing their happy smiles and endless energy made the day extra special!

We can’t wait for our next Nurturing Nook adventure!

Learning Through Building Blocks Play!

Building with blocks is much more than just fun—it is a powerful way for children to learn and grow! As children stack, connect, and create, they develop important skills such as fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, creativity, and spatial awareness.

Building blocks play also encourages communication, teamwork, and perseverance as children share ideas, work together, and keep trying until their creations come to life. Through play, children build not only amazing structures but also confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

Every block placed is a step towards developing lifelong skills!

Turn & Twist – Screw Activity

The children explored a fun fine motor activity using nuts, bolts, and screw-top objects. They practised turning, twisting, and matching pieces to build hand strength and coordination.

Great focus, problem-solving, and persistence shown as they explored how things fit and work together!

Phonics ai Bingo

The children had a blast playing Phonics ai Bingo today! They listened carefully to the ai words being called out and worked hard to identify and match the correct ‘ai’ sound on their bingo cards. This fun and interactive activity helped develop their phonics skills, listening skills, and confidence in recognising words containing the ‘ai’ digraph. Everyone was excited to participate and celebrated their successes throughout the game.
