I agree with this article, that there's a need to bring awareness to perinatal emotional complications instead of only focusing on 'Postpartum Depression'. Many expecting mums and/or women who have just delivered experience emotional turbulence and anxiety. But since it doesn't go under the term 'depression' it never gets adressed or handled professionally.

I believe, if women were carefully taken care of and respected by society/surroundings/themselves throughout the whole process of childbearing and birthing, we would not see anxiety in the same extent as we do today. This modern lifestyle is not aligned with the holy process of having a baby. Without going into any details....just think about it.

Fertility is a matter that is both complex and simple at the same time. Conception is fundamental for our existence and therefor we think that it should be the most natural thing happening to us. Still it's something many couples struggle with.

My job is to work with fertility from a mind perspective, since our bodies follow our mind and because our bodies often becomes a storehouse of memories and emotions. As a complement to the mind-work I do, I look into the physical balance. A great inspiration for me is Chinese Medicine. A great book that gives clear guidance in how to analyse your own body and how to get better health and physical balance considering Fertility is the book 'Total Fertility' by Emma Cannon.
