Children need time — to wonder, explore, revisit, and discover in their own way.

At Willow Children’s Nursery, we believe meaningful learning unfolds at the child’s pace, with space for curiosity to lead.

Because childhood deserves to be unhurried.

It’s only halfway through September…
and already, so many invitations to play!

Some carefully planned.
Some sparked by a tiny curiosity.
And some that took us somewhere we never expected.

This week, our mud kitchen is filled with nature’s loose parts—leaves, bark, twigs, dried beans, and so much more.
Rather than deciding what these materials should become, we leave that to the children.
A handful of beans becomes an ingredient.
A twig becomes a tool.
Leaves are mixed, sorted, crushed, poured, and transformed.
Because sometimes the richest learning begins with simple materials and the freedom to ask, “What can I do with this?”

Special memories at Willow Children’s Nursery — our first week was full of beautiful moments, reuniting with existing students, making new friends, getting familiar with our new space, and settling in with that same familiar feeling.

As we step into the month of September, we’re looking forward to all the special memories still to come and everything we’ll create together throughout the year.

Welcome to our Buttercups Class 🌼✨

Our FS1 classroom is a vibrant, engaging space where learning comes to life through children’s interests. Every day is filled with fun, curiosity, and meaningful experiences that support each child’s unique journey.

We proudly follow the Read Write Inc phonics programme, making early reading and writing enjoyable, interactive, and confidence-building for our little learners. With our flexible timetable, we ensure every moment is led by the children’s needs, interests, and development.

Leading Buttercups is Ms Natalie, who has been part of our team for 2 years and brings a wealth of experience in FS1. She creates a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Ms Natalie is passionate about making learning fun and meaningful every day.

We can’t wait to see our Buttercups bloom 🌸

Led by Ms Tammy, who has been part of Daisies for 4 years, the class is filled with warmth and energy. Her hands-on approach and caring nature make every child feel valued and supported, while she takes pride in nurturing their growth every step of the way.
