Another excellent research achievement from our Built Environment community. Graduate Vanshaj Kaul, under the supervision of Dr Hassam Chaudhry, has published research in the Q1-ranked journal Buildings, a leading publication indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus.

The study explores the performance of double-skin façades in hot-arid climates, examining how different cavity configurations influence heat transfer, airflow, and thermal performance. By comparing sealed, ventilated and actively cooled façade systems, the research provides valuable insights that can inform future sustainable building design and support more energy-efficient solutions for challenging climatic conditions.

This publication highlights the impact of collaboration between our students and faculty in advancing research that addresses real-world challenges in the built environment.
