Evanssion is a value added distributor for emerging technology solutions in the Middle East, Africa & India region in the areas of Information Management, Information Security & Data Center. IIM Indore PGP-UAE organized Consortium 2014-IIM Indore’s Management and HR Conclave at the Consulate of India in Dubai on November 7, 2014. The theme of the event was ‘MENA- Expanding Market Leveraging on International Talent’.

Participants of PGP-UAE were privileged to meet Mr. Anshu Gupta, founder of GOONJ. Goonj is a NGO based in Delhi, which works in 21 states across India in disaster relief, humanitarian aid and community development, creating social innovations to address critical gaps in the developing India; whether it’s clothing for the poor, cloth sanitary pads for women, or school materials for children. The organization addresses the growing gap between prospering cities and rural villages by moving resources from the former, who discard it as waste, to the later, for whom it is precious. (www.goonj.org).

Mr. Anshu, now popularly known as the “Clothing Man”, in his interaction with the participants, shared his story behind Goonj, the challenges faced by the team and the solutions they found to these challenges, while giving valuable insights into Social Entrepreneurship and inspiring young minds to contribute their bit towards the society and the country.

IIM Indore UAE Campus students interacted with the board members of Dunia Finance on Monday, 20 October 2014. Mr. Rajeev Kakar - MD and Founder CEO (IIM A - class of 1987) and Ms. Mariam Elsamny - CMO and Head of University Relations, addressed the participants on Future of Banking and Financial Services Sector in the GCC region. The students also sought insights on the opportunities and challenges in the Financial Sector in the GCC region as a prospective future career field.
