It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Chris Gallagher, former CIPS Director.

Chris was instrumental in the establishment of the CIPS organisation in MENA and managed the regional office between 2012 and 2014. A larger-than-life character, he was hugely respected for his knowledge and professionalism and loved for his fun, friendly, and generous personality.

CIPS MENA General Manager, Sam Achampong, stated, "I have known Chris for many years, and he was directly responsible for me taking up my current role at CIPS, having approached me about the position during a networking event in 2014. His stature as a professional is one that I aspire to, and his warmth and generosity as a person is something I will always be grateful for."

CIPS MENA Head of Business Development, Athia Khalil, said, "I will always be grateful to my former mentor who, while I was a graduate at the CIPS Head Office in the UK, convinced me to move to Dubai and work in the MENA Office. His guidance as a mentor and support as a person inspired me to be who I am today."

Our hearts go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.
