We are delighted to recognise the students who received the Headteacher’s End of Year Award in recognition of their sustained effort throughout the academic year. This award acknowledges not only academic attainment within each year group, but also those students who have demonstrated consistently outstanding effort, resilience and dedication over time.

These students have maintained high standards throughout the year, showing determination in their learning and a commitment to continuous improvement. Their success is the result of sustained hard work and a positive approach to challenges, and they should be extremely proud of what they have achieved.

Deira International School is delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our IB Class of 2026!

This year, our students have achieved exceptional results across both the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP).

Our IBDP students celebrated a 100% pass rate, an impressive average score of 35.7 points, with 60% of students achieving 35+ points, and three students earning an exceptional 44 points.

Our IBCP students also achieved a 100% pass rate, with 18 students successfully completing the programme, an average BTEC score of D*D, and an outstanding highest overall IBCP score of 22.

These remarkable results reflect the ambition, resilience and determination of our students, alongside the unwavering support of our dedicated teachers and families. We are incredibly proud of everything our Class of 2026 has accomplished and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the future.

After 14 incredible years at Deira International School, we say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Assistant Head Teacher, Charlotte.

For over a decade, Charlotte has been a cherished member of our DIS family, making a lasting impact on generations of students, supporting families, and inspiring colleagues with her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our school community.

Known by many as the DIS Queen, Charlotte’s warmth has touched every corner of our community. Her infectious optimism, genuine care, and ability to make everyone feel valued have made DIS a happier, stronger place to learn and work.

While we are sad to see her go, we are so excited as she begins her next adventure in Zanzibar. Charlotte, thank you for everything you have given to DIS. Your leadership, positivity, and the incredible sense of community you have nurtured will be deeply missed.

From all of us at DIS, we wish you every happiness and success in this exciting new chapter. Once a DIS family member, always a DIS family member.

We are incredibly proud of our STEM Racing students for their outstanding performance at the UAE National Stem racing Finals held at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi.
 
All three of our teams, Nitro Nova, Velox Racing and Rebel Racers represented Deira International School with exceptional professionalism, teamwork and determination.
 
Nitro Nova claimed the Fastest Car Award, recording an incredible race time of 1.335 seconds, a remarkable achievement that reflects the innovation, teamwork and dedication shown throughout the season.
 
Adding to the celebrations, our Design & Technology teacher, Mohammad Ullah, was honoured with the STEM Racing Teacher Recognition Award.

At Deira International School, we believe in providing our students with meaningful, experiential learning that puts them in a position to make real world impact.
 
Our partnership with Hundred Hives and Terra - Expo City Dubai does exactly that. Students will have the opportunity to train as junior beekeepers, caring for living colonies and developing a genuine relationship with one of the planet’s most vital species. Our hives will be built in to cross curricular projects across the school where students can analyse real hive data in Maths, write at length and with real purpose about the impact of bees and why protecting pollinators is one of the most urgent environmental challenges of our time.
 
Hundred Hives aims to install hives in over one hundred schools across the UAE, directly supporting local biodiversity and the UAE’s National Food Security Strategy 2051. Deira International School are proud to be the first school to take this step alongside the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation and Expo City Dubai.
 
We were joined at the launch by colleagues from Al-Futtaim, the Knowledge & Human Development Authority, and the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority (DECCA) — a coming together of partners who share the belief that schools can be at the forefront of community change.
