It was an absolute pleasure meeting Khalid Al Ameri.
Some time ago, following my book signing, we had the opportunity to chat, and it’s a conversation that has stayed with me ever since.
As a fellow parent of a child with autism, Khalid understands the journey in a way that only another parent can. We spoke about inclusion, raising children with different needs, and the importance of seeing ability before disability.
One thing that really resonated with me is that the voice of a parent is just as powerful as the voice of an educator, therapist, psychologist, or any other professional. Parents know their children best, and when families and professionals work together, we create the greatest opportunities for our children to thrive.
Khalid, thank you for taking the time to chat, for your kindness, and for being such an inspiring advocate for families and inclusion. I hope you enjoyed my book, and I remain grateful for the conversation we shared.
Looking back, that meeting reinforced something I have always believed: meaningful change happens when parents, educators, therapists, and communities come together with the same goal—to help every child reach their full potential.
Thank you again, Khalid, for your encouragement and for the positive impact you continue to make through your platform.
Because every child deserves to be seen for who they are, not defined by a label. 💙
