‘Writing stories is a kind of magic too’
In the final edition of ‘Appreciation Assemblies’ at ASD, we celebrated one of our own budding authors, Reyan Singh. A third grader, he has shown remarkable creativity in compiling and publishing his debut book titled 'The Fun Fables- Five Enchanting Stories'- an attempt based on valuable lessons about life, friendship, self-acceptance and fantasy.
At his age he is indeed an inspiration to all of us. Reyan shared his excitement about him nearing completion of his second book which is expected to see the light of day sometime early next year.
Congratulations Reyan!!! You have done us proud!!

A nation is not just built in a day. It needed its leaders to dream with open eyes, it required them to set goals and work every day towards fulfilling their mission. Above all, it also asked from the sons of the soil to toil and to learn to aspire and achieve. Late H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and Late H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, UAE’s founding fathers of UAE left a legacy that calls for deeper understanding and learning, to realize all about dreams and vision and the simple routes to achieve them.
Students of ASD had a unique assembly, celebrating the Founding Fathers of UAE and their teachings to abide by. The Grade 1 teachers presented a skit celebrating the legacy left by them. The performance highlighted their dedication, vision, and kindness in uniting the Emirates and building a prosperous nation. Students across the primary grades had a beautiful session of learning about the great leaders, whom they showered their gratitude with thank-you notes. The event aimed to make our students understand gratitude, the greatness of real leaders and so much more on goal settings and the roadmap to achieve them.

The Ambassador School Carnival was a resounding success, celebrating creativity, talent, and community spirit. Students dazzled with their performances, from energetic dances to beautiful musical numbers, showcasing their dedication. The parade, featuring students in colourful attire representing their GAP countries, added a global touch, which parents especially appreciated.
The Theatre Festival added an extra layer of creativity, delivering captivating performances of our students that enhanced the festive atmosphere. What truly made the Carnival stand out was the remarkable involvement of the parents. Their participation added a special touch to the event, enhancing its overall charm.
The Carnival featured bouncy castles, delicious food stalls, and a game zone organized by teachers, offering fun for all ages. The collaboration between students and parents created an environment of unity and excitement, making the Carnival not only a celebration of talent but also a wonderful example of the strength of community bonds. The incredible performances and the active participation of everyone involved truly made this event an unforgettable experience—an icing on the cake that exceeded all expectations.
Thank you parents for your overwhelming response and support for our initiative!

That ‘I can do’ is just not a statement, but a reality, was seen in ASD’s students who fight shy of showcasing their inert talent.
ASD’s ‘Curtain Call’, a plethora of plays based on excerpts of some of world’s best of literary works, created a new bench mark in the school’s records of stage shows and performances. The students from middle to senior school crafted out the finest performances on stage, considering this was a maiden venture and completely student-led. From writing the scripts to minding the different stages of production, from working on the props to stage management, from creating the social media coverage to designing their costumes and accessories, the students whole-heartedly took up the challenge with elan.
Congratulations to all the talented performers, directors, and backstage crew who worked tirelessly to bring these short excerpts of well-known plays on-stage, with a difference! Your hard work and passion shone brightly on stage. A special shoutout to our supportive teachers and staff, and, of course, our enthusiastic audience, the parent community; you made the event even more magical! We look forward to many such events to bring out the latent talent in our students and give them the stage and the confidence of self-belief!

Gallery Walk@ Grade 1
Albert Einstein once famously said “I never teach my pupils; I only provide the conditions in which they can learn.”
Driven by this quote, at Ambassador we remember that learning is an active process and sometimes the best and most memorable learning experiences take place outside the walls of the classroom. We are always looking out for ways to ignite the innate curiosity amongst our students and this year for the gallery walk we chose a pertinent topic- ‘Sources of Water’.
It was a successful and interactive learning activity for the Grade 1 students. They identified both natural and manmade sources of water like rivers, lakes, wells, rain, and oceans and understood their importance. Some students even made personal connections, mentioning places they had visited where they saw water sources, such as lakes or oceans. They understood how moving water in dams can be used to generate electricity which is called ‘Hydroelectricity’. They also got a hands-on experience of drawing water through wells, and were amazed to see how simple machines like the pulley and lever of a hand pump can be so useful to mankind. After learning about all the sources of water they understood how water gets polluted and learn two ways to purify water.
And we wrap up with this beautiful quote by Leonardo da Vinci, ‘Water is the driving force of all nature’, only to pave way for more such engaging learning opportunities for our students.
