On Wednesday, 17 June, we held a special recognition ceremony to honor students who participated in several Qur’an memorization competitions during this academic year.

21 students were recognized for their participation in the annual Taaleem Qur’an Memorization Competition at the Taaleem Group level.

40 students were recognized for their participation in the annual Ratil Qur’an Memorization Competition at the JBS school level.

5 students were recognized for their participation in the Ahl Allah wa Khasatuh Competition at the UAE national level. The ceremony celebrated the students’ dedication, commitment, and achievements in memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur’an, and acknowledged their efforts in representing the school with excellence and distinction.

Last night, we recognised the dedication, determination, and outstanding accomplishments of our student-athletes across a wide range of sports. From individual successes to team achievements, the evening was a wonderful celebration of hard work, resilience, and sportsmanship.

On Friday 12th June, we proudly celebrated our Primary Sports Awards, recognising the dedication, commitment, and achievements of our student athletes from Grade 2 to Grade 5.

Throughout the year, our students have represented JBS with enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship across a wide range of sports, including Aquathlon, Athletics, Rugby, Netball, Swim Squad, Football, Basketball, and Cross Country! Competing in over 250 competitive sporting situations throughout this year.

Today, we proudly celebrated our Grade 5 PYP Exhibition 2026, a significant milestone in our students’ learning journeys and the culmination of months of inquiry, research, collaboration and action.

Families, peers and staff came together to explore the wide range of meaningful projects, students confidently presented their findings, shared their passions and inspired others to think about important global issues.

The event opened with a beautiful performance of A Million Dreams, where our students not only sang but also signed in Makaton, showcasing the power of communication, inclusion and creativity.

Adding to the occasion, a select group of students took to the podium for TEDx-style talks, demonstrating outstanding presentation skills as they shared powerful ideas, personal insights and calls to action.

Congratulations to all of our Grade 5 students for their dedication, courage and commitment throughout this incredible journey. We are so proud of everything you have achieved and the positive impact you are already making in the world.
