📚 “I’m really going to miss the community, the diversity, the experiences, and all the unforgettable memories I’ve made at ASD.”
🎓 “I will be studying criminology at Virginia Tech and hope to carry everything I’ve learned at ASD with me into this next chapter.”

Our next Senior Highlight is Zaid '25.
🇴🇲 “I was born in Muscat, Oman, but have lived in Dubai since I was a few months old. I call Muscat home, because most of my family lives there today.”
🌟 “Thank you to my parents for your constant support and belief in me. To my brothers, thank you for bringing energy and joy to every step of my journey. To my friends both at ASD and in Oman, thank you for making the last few years so fun and memorable. I love you and will miss you all dearly. I would like to thank my teachers for all you have taught me - both school lessons and life lessons. Thank you Ms. Harvey for your endless help and guidance; I wouldn’t be here without you.”
📚 “I will miss everything ASD has to offer, especially the sports teams and the activities within the arts program. AMIS and MESAC trips have been among my most memorable moments during my time here and have been nothing short of amazing! I will especially miss the sense of comfort, familiarity, and belonging I feel at ASD having been here since kindergarten.”
🎓 “I'm excited to study applied mathematics at Brown University starting this fall. Over the next four years, I'm sure I will create memories and friendships that last a lifetime!”

🇵🇰 “Born in Pakistan, Lived in Pakistan, Bangladesh and the UAE, and I'd say Pakistan is still my home.”
🌟 “Mr. Beck, Mr. Hurt, Ms. Dertian, Mrs. Hoiseth, Mme Rguibi and Mr. Bryant. Without them, I couldn't have finished High School like I have, and I can never thank them enough for supporting me when I needed, and pushing me to be at my best all the same. I'll remember them into college and beyond, because they've changed my life and cared for me more than I can ever thank them for.”
📚 “The Musicals. They were the first activity I ever joined at ASD, and they shaped my experience here at ASD. They helped me meet my friends who I've kept for years, and showed me the vast world of theatre, which has become such an important hobby for me. Again, thank you to Ms. Dertian for trusting me in managing positions!”
🎓 “Going to Smith College is very exciting! It was my dream school, and I can't wait to make lots of new friends and connections there. Though ASD has been amazing, I'm ready to set out on my own and become my own successful, memorable person.”

🇦🇪🇺🇸 “I was born in LA but have lived in Dubai my whole life, I consider Dubai and LA home.”
🌟 “I would like to thank all my teachers and coaches who have constantly supported me throughout high school. I would especially like to thank Mr. Hurt, who fostered my interest in history and always offered support to help me grow in his classes. I would also like to thank Mrs. Bryant, as having her as my teacher for multiple years has taught me so much, and she has been a great support system! To Coach Ruiz and Coach Ruch, thank you for always believing in my potential, playing on your team for the past 2 years has been an honor and I will miss every part of the season whether it was the Winter Classics or MESAC, I will cherish every moment I had with the team! I would also like to thank my family and friends who have made each moment spent at ASD so special. I will always be grateful for your guidance and support.”
📚 “I will mostly miss the community at ASD and the athletics. Walking by teachers, friends, and coaches whom I have known for so long is something I will always miss about ASD and the tight-knit community it has always had. I will also miss basketball season at ASD, as it has been something I have looked forward to each year and has been such a memorable part of my time at ASD.”
🎓 “I am so excited to start a new chapter at Loyola Marymount University in the fall and live in Los Angeles!”
