We’ll create a beautiful acrylic painting on canvas every day. Choose the days you’d like to attend, or maximize and attend all five days!
Dates- 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th July

The photograph doesn’t do this justice, but this is a beautifully delicate, detailed, painting.
I can’t claim to always understand what inspires kids 😂, but for some reason this joker on a playing card was absolutely what this lovely young artist wanted to paint. She also changed the colors to all pastel colors …she was sooo particular about the shade of pastel green too!
I totally adore seeing each of my students grow and change, both as individuals and as artists. I’ve known this young lady for a few years now, and she has always been a perfectionist; her painting has to be just so, or she’ll panic and get upset. And she used to be so particular that her hands are always clean; of course you get paint on your hands in class, but even if it’s a small amount, she’d have to go wash it off immediately, to the point I’ve told her that she can’t move from her seat for the next ten minutes!
I’m really so proud of how much of an effort she’s put into changing…so proud. She’s allowed herself to let go of the stress around painting…she’s ok with (small) imperfections. And, we’re down to washing our hands only four times per class 😂! This is not counting the time we wash hands for break, lol.
She’s an adorable kid who’s very talented, and has always enjoyed some aspects of painting and sketching and it makes me so happy to see her less anxious around Art. So proud of her for all the effort she’s put in, and for believing in the process. Success isn’t always determined by where you start, but with the quality of never giving up on yourself. Well done darling!
