We are delighted to welcome Michael (Mick) Wright to the Senior Leadership Team at NLCS Dubai as Vice Principal: Enrichment, Staffing and Administration.
Mick brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic leadership, school operations, staffing and student enrichment across leading British Curriculum and International Baccalaureate schools in the UK and UAE. Prior to joining NLCS Dubai, he spent 12 years as Deputy Head of Secondary at Uptown International School, leading across areas including safeguarding, staffing, culture for learning, enrichment, student leadership and residential programmes.
His experience also extends to the academic life of schools, having overseen English, Mathematics and Science departments and contributed to improvements in student attainment, progress and inspection outcomes.
At the heart of Mick’s approach is a belief that exceptional schools combine high expectations with strong relationships and meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom. He is particularly passionate about enrichment as a means of developing confident, resilient and globally minded young people.
We look forward to the experience, energy and leadership Mick will bring to the NLCS Dubai community.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Class of 2026 in the IB Diploma.
This exceptional cohort has achieved an average IB score of 38.0, well above the global average of 30.9, with 37% of students attaining 40+ points, 84% achieving 35+ points, and a highest individual score of 45.
As they embark on the next chapter at leading universities around the world, we congratulate the Class of 2026 on this remarkable achievement, we couldn't be prouder! đź’™

Day three of the NLCS Dubai Arts Festival 2026 has been filled with energy, creativity and collaboration.
A huge thank you to our Creative Department for launching this year’s festival with such enthusiasm around the theme, We Will Rock You. Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in a wide range of creative experiences, including stage combat, music, design and merchandising, flash mob performances, House Drama, singing, painting, graffiti and video production.
It has been a wonderful celebration of creativity, curiosity and collaboration across the school community.

Congratulations to Shiya, currently in Grade 4, on an outstanding international achievement!
After winning the Dubai and UAE regional championship, Shiya proudly represented the UAE at the FIRST LEGO League Open Championship in Mexico. FIRST LEGO League is one of the world’s leading robotics competitions, bringing together talented young innovators from across the globe to showcase their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
We are incredibly proud of Shiya for representing both our school and the UAE with such dedication and excellence.

Day two of the NLCS Dubai Arts Festival 2026 has been filled with energy, creativity and collaboration.
A huge thank you to our Creative Department for launching this year’s festival with such enthusiasm around the theme, We Will Rock You. Throughout the day, students immersed themselves in a wide range of creative experiences, including stage combat, music, design and merchandising, flash mob performances, House Drama, singing, painting, graffiti and video production.
But the creativity didn’t stop there. The Arts Festival has brought the entire school together, with departments including Physics, Mathematics, Arabic, Modern Foreign Languages and many others embracing the theme through exciting cross-curricular activities. It has been a wonderful celebration of creativity, curiosity and collaboration across the school community.
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

The Junior School Summer Concert was a wonderful celebration of the talent, dedication and enthusiasm of our young musicians. Despite time lost this term, our students performed with confidence, showcasing the incredible progress they have made.
From the vibrant opening by the Samba Band and the debut performance of our Grade 1 Choir, to the outstanding Orchestra, Beginner Band, Rock Band and String Ensemble, every performance reflected teamwork, perseverance and a genuine love of music.
Congratulations to all of our performers and the Music Department for an inspiring evening. We look forward to welcoming even more students into our growing musical community in the next academic year.

Our Grade 11 biologists exchanged the classroom for the stunning coastline of Scotland during an unforgettable field trip to the Field Studies Council (FSC) in Millport.
Immersing themselves in a unique natural environment, students developed and refined essential ecological fieldwork techniques, explored local biodiversity and collected valuable primary data to support their IB Diploma Programme Internal Assessments.
Congratulations to our aspiring scientists on a fantastic week of curiosity, collaboration and authentic scientific enquiry. Their enthusiasm and dedication exemplified the spirit of learning beyond the classroom.

As we bring Term 3 to a close, we are delighted to welcome NLCS Dubai Arts Festival Week, a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration and tradition across the NLCS family of schools.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Parents’ Guild and House Of Pops for treating our students and staff to a refreshing ice lolly, the perfect way to mark the start of a week dedicated to the arts.
