The spring harvest season is celebrated with great enthusiasm in different parts of India - Bihu in Assam, Lohri and Baisakhi in Punjab, Vishu in Kerala, Pôhela Boishakh in West Bengal and Puthandu in Tamil Nadu.

‘Charity is just not about giving or sharing; it is an act of kindness to be fostered as early in children as possible’.
At ASD children are always taught on their community responsibilities, believing in the happiness of giving that liberates our soul. As always, students, parents and staff of Ambassador all joined in large numbers, pouring in their contributions of dry edibles and essentials for daily requirements during the holy month of Ramadan. Eventually, our students gathered and with much excitement and joy, they distributed the goodie-bags to the school nannies and bus drivers, whom they lovingly called ‘Aunties’ and ‘Bus-Uncles. The joy of giving away to the people who take utmost care during the time at school & bus, was worth a watch. Charity Drive at ASD is definitely in tune with the mood of Ramadan and the Islamic principles; however, it also continues to be a core ethical value instilled in our students from the formative years to develop the culture of kindness and empathy.

First day of formal schooling for the youngest of the Kindergartners!
Pre KG students walked in today with a mix of emotions not sure, whether to step into this colourful campus or continue holding the parent’s hand tight. The warm welcome, ever smiling and encouraging approach of the teachers, the plethora of activities laid out for them very soon resulted in a happy class, laughter and fun echoing the KG campus.
To fall into a routine and bond with others around them will surely take time for the three year olds, but they bravely took that first step, the step towards endless learning, adaptability and independence.
The joy of watching them grow at Ambassador School is priceless!

Spring Camp Finale@ ASD
“It’s the finale of our show, but the doors don’t close, curtains don’t fall, we now are ready for yet another new run!
The nervous excitement was as palpable as always in the campers today as they were all focused to give their best, after all it was their day, performing before an audience! The days of learning and practicing were to culminate on their finale, and so they were there up on the stage, on a bright morning. Their melodious voices were sure to resonate in the corridors of Ambassador campus for days to come. There dances energized the lazy day and their strength of voices and trained expressions, learnt in speech and drama found an all new zeal and motivation from the appreciation and applauds from their parents. Their yoga postures perhaps are a reminder to all who watched them that perfection is attainable only with love for the work in hand and the control of their minds. This is not the end but an all new beginning to another wonderful year of growing up and learning more, as the saying goes the journey of a thousand of miles begins with just a single step.

The last day of the camp went in smooth transition from one training to another. More vigour in self-defense, more sheen in the dance moves, and the playtime was one of pure joy of meeting friends in a carefree environment. Speech and drama classes fine-tuned the campers’ intonation and voice modulation and many more, inspiring our campers to give out their best for the show. The last day in the camp doesn’t end their journey but a new one awaits them, as they come back with full gusto for an all new academic year. This brief time together will be etched in their memory for long, for the joys of new skills learnt, for time spent together, for the shared laughter and movie-watching with popcorn bags in hand ……. Oh to have spring always and a camp like this, to stay young and stay happy!

So we are finally moving towards the culmination of Spring Camp-2024. Albeit a short one this year, but time is never the deciding factor on the effectiveness of learning. Where there is a will, there is a way, is indeed so true for our campers. Our little campers prove all theories wrong when it comes down to their matured answering or reflection of a movie watched or the significance of a trip to Children’s City or even a new learning called Cooking Without Fire, despite the messiness during learning. The intent is more important than outcome. As the show day draws nearer, our campers are showing all their seriousness and sincerity to stage their learning as best as possible. A lot to learn from our children, isn’t it?
