BOODLE FIGHT
'Boodle fight' is Philippine Military jargon for a mess hall banquet, where food is prepared and laid out on banana leaves across long rectangular tables. Traditionally, every soldier, enlisted man and officer alike eats from the same tray, with their hands, as a symbol of camaraderie, brotherhood and equality in the Armed Forces. Once the signal goes off to start the boodle fight, every person aims for his/her position and the feast begins. Jugs of water are prepared on the side to wash hands before and after the meal.
