At the “Leading Through Complexity” roundtable, IMA Middle East and PwC Academy brought together senior finance leaders as well as learning and development executives in Riyadh to explore what comes next for the profession.

From Dr. Brigitte de Graaff’s keynote on The Future of Finance Leadership to the discussion on “What Finance Leaders Need Next,” the roundtable centred on one important question:

How can finance leaders stay ahead when the landscape keeps changing?

The evening sparked meaningful conversations around continuous learning, new perspectives and the leadership mindset needed to navigate an evolving business landscape.

With a strong turnout and engaging discussions, the roundtable created a valuable space for finance leaders to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives and look ahead.

A meaningful first step in the IMA–PwC Academy partnership, with more conversations and collaborations to come.

The three-day 17th Annual MENA CFO Conference concluded today, with IMA leaders bringing global perspectives to the agenda. IMA was the exclusive Professional Development Partner for the event, aligning the conference content with management accounting and finance transformation themes.

The conference featured sessions covering pressing issues, from driving prediction and visibility with AI to IFRS 18 to turning risk into strategic leverage, and many more. It was followed by a workshop on 'The CFO Operating Model: AI‑Driven Finance, Digital Transformation and Strategic Value Creation.'

Among the IMA leaders in attendance were Ahmad Mkhallati, Senior Director for IMA Middle East, India & Africa Operations, and Brigitte de Graaff, Chair of the IMA Global Board for FY2025–2026, who chaired the first two days of the conference.
