🌸 What Are Lahn-e-Jali and Lahn-e-Khafi?

📖 Reciting the Holy Qur'an with Correct Tajweed Is the Responsibility of Every Muslim

Allah Almighty says:

> ﴿وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا﴾

"And recite the Qur'an with measured and proper recitation."

📖 (Surah Al-Muzzammil: 4)

When reciting the Holy Qur'an, any mistake in pronunciation or recitation is called Lahn (اللحن). It is divided into two main types:

---

① Lahn-e-Jali (Major / Obvious Mistake)

Lahn-e-Jali is a clear and noticeable mistake that changes the pronunciation of letters, vowels, or even the meaning of the words.

✦ Examples:

🔹 Reciting قُلْ (Qul) as كُلْ (Kul).

🔹 Reciting أَنْعَمْتَ (An'amta) as أَنْعَمْتُ (An'amtu).

🔹 Changing a letter or mispronouncing the vowels (Fatḥah, Kasrah, or Ḍammah).

✦ Ruling:

✔ It is considered a major mistake.

✔ Deliberately making such a mistake is sinful.

✔ In some cases, especially when the meaning changes, it may invalidate the prayer (Ṣalāh).

② Lahn-e-Khafi (Minor / Hidden Mistake)

Lahn-e-Khafi is a subtle mistake that is usually recognized only by those who have knowledge of Tajweed.

It does not change the meaning, but it violates the rules of Tajweed.

✦ Examples:

🔹 Not pronouncing Ghunnah correctly.

🔹 Lengthening or shortening Madd incorrectly.

🔹 Incorrect pronunciation of Qalqalah.

🔹 Errors in Ikhfā, Idghām, Iẓhār, or Iqlāb.

🔹 Imperfect articulation of the characteristics (Ṣifāt) of the letters.

✦ Ruling:

✔ It does not change the meaning.

✔ However, it affects the beauty and excellence of Qur'anic recitation.

✔ Every student and reciter of the Qur'an should strive to avoid these mistakes as well.

✅ Study and apply the rules of Tajweed.

✅ Learn from a qualified and authentic Qur'an teacher.

🌸 لحنِ جلی اور لحنِ خفی کیا ہیں؟

📖 قرآنِ کریم صحیح تجوید کے ساتھ پڑھنا ہر مسلمان کی ذمہ داری ہے

اللہ تعالیٰ نے ارشاد فرمایا:

> ﴿وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا﴾

"اور قرآنِ مجید کو خوب ٹھہر ٹھہر کر (تجوید کے ساتھ) پڑھو۔"

📖 (سورۃ المزمل: 4)

قرآنِ کریم کی تلاوت میں غلطی کو "لحن" کہا جاتا ہے، اور اس کی دو بنیادی قسمیں ہیں:

---

① لحنِ جلی (واضح غلطی)

لحنِ جلی وہ غلطی ہے جو واضح طور پر ظاہر ہو اور جس سے حروف، حرکات یا معنی تبدیل ہو جائیں۔

✦ مثالیں:

🔹 قُلْ کو كُلْ پڑھنا۔
🔹 أَنْعَمْتَ کو أَنْعَمْتُ پڑھنا۔
🔹 کسی حرف کو بدل دینا یا زبر، زیر، پیش کی غلط ادائیگی کرنا۔

✦ حکم:

✔ یہ بڑی غلطی ہے۔
✔ جان بوجھ کر کرنا گناہ ہے۔
✔ بعض صورتوں میں نماز بھی فاسد ہو سکتی ہے، خصوصاً جب معنی بدل جائیں۔

---

② لحنِ خفی (پوشیدہ غلطی)

لحنِ خفی وہ غلطی ہے جو عام طور پر صرف تجوید جاننے والے پہچانتے ہیں۔

اس سے معنی تو تبدیل نہیں ہوتے، لیکن تجوید کے قواعد کی خلاف ورزی ہوتی ہے۔

✦ مثالیں:

🔹 غنہ صحیح ادا نہ کرنا۔
🔹 مد کو کم یا زیادہ کھینچنا۔
🔹 قلقلہ صحیح ادا نہ کرنا۔
🔹 اخفاء، ادغام، اظہار یا اقلاب کے قواعد میں غلطی کرنا۔
🔹 صفاتِ حروف کی ادائیگی میں کمی بیشی کرنا۔

✦ حکم:

✔ اس سے معنی نہیں بدلتے، لیکن تلاوت کی خوبصورتی اور سنت کے مطابق ادائیگی متاثر ہوتی ہے۔
✔ ایک قاری اور طالبِ علم کو اس سے بھی بچنے کی کوشش کرنی چاہیے۔

🌿 ہماری ذمہ داری

قرآنِ کریم اللہ تعالیٰ کا کلام ہے، اس لیے ہمیں چاہیے کہ:

✅ قرآن صحیح مخارج کے ساتھ پڑھیں۔
✅ تجوید کے قواعد سیکھیں۔
✅ ماہر اور مستند استاد سے اصلاح کروائیں۔
✅ روزانہ تلاوت کی مشق کریں۔
