BITS Pilani Dubai Campus (BPDC), Department of Chemical Engineering is happy to offer a FREE session "1 Day event for school teachers: Hands on experience UV-Visible Spectrophotometer with Diffuse Reflectance (UV-Vis-DRS)" on 29th December, 2022.

What will you learn?

Understand the industrial application of scientific instruments like UV-Vis (UV–visible spectrophotometry) and DRS (Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy) in identifying pollutants present in water, band gap for solids and get to use various software for data interpretation.

We are extremely thrilled to announce the arrival of the much awaited event, AIChE's Chem-E-Jeopardy Event 2022 organised in collaboration with AIChE RGIPT Student Chapter!

It is the first ever Inter-Country Chem-E-Jeopardy Event held in collaboration with the distinguished and privileged Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Jais SC.

Teams from India and the UAE AIChE Student Chapters will compete with each other in various levels of difficult queries. The winners will be awarded with exclusive cash prizes and certificates!!

Event Date : 14th May , Saturday 2022
Timings: 6:00 pm IST/04:30 pm GST

STEM@BITS was held in BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus on 2nd April 2022 on a Saturday.

This event was a wonderful interaction between the disciplines and the young minds that aspire to be engineers as well. The chemical engineering department did a wonderful job in executing this event and showcasing what chemical engineering truly is.

The event was a huge success!!

AIChE BPDC held an interactive session with AIChE RGIPT on 18th February, 2021.

Both shared their wonderful endeavors and introduced their respective committees with passion. AIChE RGIPT has shown their capabilities and achievements throughout their time.

We would like to thank AIChE RGIPT student chapter for giving us a chance to hold this interactive meeting which was an overall success!

An interactive session between AIChE ictiocb chapter and our chapter was held on 12th of December 2021.

It was a very informative and interesting session in which both parties shared ideas, their achievements and the events held during this year.

We would like to thank AIChE ictiocb student chapter for giving us a chance to hold this interactive meeting.

Overall this session was a tremendous success!

We put up a very well designed and integrated stall, thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!

AIChE BPDC had a wonderful talk by one of our most distinguished alumni, Mr Tanmay Chaturvedi.

His talk was on "A journey from BITS to Aalborg University. Why you should consider joining the #1 Engineering University in Europe". A vast number of students from different disciplines attended the talk and learned a wonderful lesson.

We, the council of AIChE, would like to sincerely thank Mr Tanmay Chaturvedi for this very informative and engaging talk.

AIChE BPDC conducted a talk with an extremely well known Multinational Company: Henkel, which is well known for its Polybit Waterproofing Systems.

Students from various disciplines such as chemical, civil and mechanical were present at the meeting.

This talk was immensely informative for our blooming engineering minds.

We give our sincere gratitude to the experts from Henkel for giving us their precious time.

The fresher's party for the Department of Chemical Engineering was held on the first week of October.

It was an interactive session to welcome our juniors and to get to know each other. It was filled with fun and games.

At the end of the session, pizza was available as lunch for everyone at the Fresher's Party.

Overall it was a success!!

The talk on Introduction to Computational Fluid & Applications by Mr. Manjunath Reddy was an absolute success!!

AIChE has contacted Mr. Manjunath Reddy whose current affiliation is as the Technology development team lead in ExxonMobil.

He will be giving a talk on "Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics & Applications".

This talk will be held on November 26th of 2021 on a Friday at 8:30AM.
