goodmorning friends, today i wanna share e a story bout the first kid that got sponsored in Helpafrica and who inspired me to rescue now + 300 kids from the street and slums.
Yahaya Wanda i met him 15 years ago 9 years old on a dusty football field playing football with other street kids, i interviewed him as i wanted to find a sponsor family to him so he could come to school and get a new future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkgHf5c6tVU
Hes story i got to know in detail before the movie, he had escaped from hes father who wanted to sacrifice him to the gods as 2 goats was stolen when he falled a sleep watching them, but hes younger brother cut him free from the chair in the night and he escaped on a truck to Kampala, where he collected leftovers in the scrab and lived on a taxi bench ! I found as sponsor and a local single mother who became hes foster mother. Today hes graduated psychologist and hes story is in our award winning movie I Am Much More !

Now also with me in Marbella representing Rotary in Uganda officially , as he has joined the film festival and toured in Europe to inspire and tell hes story.

He met hes sponsor Bjørn-Erik Setså for the fist time in real, when he visited Norway two weeks ago !

Another example of being the hero in your own story , going from no one to some one !❤️👏

Goodmorning friends, let me make your smile of the day even bigger, by showing you another of all my incredible transformation stories .
Prossy Nabasumba Prossy was only 11 years old when she was rescued by my NGO Help Africa where she was not in school, as her mother wanted her to work selling vegetables on the market and help her taking care of her 3 siblings, in Katanga slum in Kampala, as she earned less than 2 usd pr day and couldnt pay schoolfees. We started our choir same year as an activity when not in school, where she everyday would walk 2 hours with other slumkids to come to our office to train singing and dancing and 2 hours back. While walking she came up with the lyrics about her life in the slum, to the song I Am Much More, which is now a award winning documentary Movie 6 years later, which is already accepted to Cannes Filmfestival and is going to many other festivals.
She still lives in the slum with her family, she still walks 2 hours to the training as there is no money to transport, or a better home.
Now she is here in Marbella, paid by the govormental institution UCC in Uganda, got a university schoolar ship when she in 4 years will be finishing senior 6, probably lots of studies online as she will like other famous choir kids be traveling alot !
Imaging traveling from the slum to Marbella as a star with empty pockets and the travel back again to boarding school and the slum, still happy and with a big smile ;-).

Receiving the second international award in the film history of Uganda who produce more than 300 films pr year , as a massive recognition and honor for not only her, the choir or Helpafrica but also for Uganda, East Africa and Africa proving dreams can be true if you struggle enough!! Prossy is only 17 years old , here a photo when we met her first time and a photo from the Marbella Film Festival last sunday, talk about transformation . Dear friends, i have had many big highlights in my life, but yesterday it was one of the biggest, when i had my family and a full house of people to the premier of I Am Much More , the documentary about 15 of my childrens from Helpafrica.foundation whos a part of our choir, coming from the slums of Kampala to Marbella last year !
Standing applause and a full room with 300 guests in tears and joy , what a masterpiece of Mac Cavenhaugh, Larry Lamb and many more involved ! Never i have seen so beautiful movie in my life and i am sure many of the 300 guest will agree ! Thanks you so mucn Marbella International Film Festival for screening the movie you deserved the full room and every single applause , now looking forward to the award gala dinner tonight 🙏
