Guru Purnima is one of the most cherished days in our institute—a time to pause, reflect, dance and offer our deepest gratitude to the lineage that has shaped and continues to guide us.

Today, we offer gratitude with love and reverence to our Guru, and honor the sacred legacy of Guru Dr. Manjiri Deo and Pt. Mukunraj Deo, whose wisdom, dedication, and vision continue to inspire every step of our journey.

With heartfelt pranams to our Gurus, and warm wishes to our entire institute family on this blessed Guru Purnima. 🙏✨

Today, Ashadi Ekadeshi 🌔 , marks the culmination of the Waari Yatra in Pandharpur, Maharashtra. The Yatra is a 21-day procession of hundreds of thousands of Warkaris (pilgrams) from all over Maharashtra travelling over 250 km on foot. They dance and chant hymns dedicated to Lord Vittala, a form of Lord Krishna.

In this piece, Tapasya celebrates Lord Vitthal and his prime disciple Pundalik.

In the devotion of Pundalik to his parents and Krishna, we are reminded of Guru Purnima and our commitment to our Gurus. In the joy and tenacity of the Warkaris as they travel, we see our own spiritual, mental and physical journey as students. As Kathakars, Warkaris or even Pundalik, we are all so blessed to experience the power of surrender towards a guiding spirit!

Choreography: Guru Vaishali Mhaisalkar
