Aga Khan Early Learning Centre

Aga Khan Early Learning Centre AKELC is a beacon of early childhood education in the UAE.

Our unique blend of British and Arabic curriculum, enriched with EYFS, is delivered in a purpose-built facility designed to support holistic development for children aged 1 to 4 years. The Aga Khan Early Learning Centre, Dubai (AKELC) is centrally located in the Oud Metha area of Dubai and provides high quality early childhood education for children aged 12 months to 4+ years. The purpose built, spacious teaching and learning facilities are well maintained and provide an impressive environment for young children to play and learn. We provide a broad, holistic early childhood education that follows the highest international standards of excellence. The non-secular, bilingual English/Arabic curriculum is taught by fully qualified teachers in a child-centred environment and is designed to build strong foundations for children’s future development. The curriculum is based on international High Scope practices aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stages framework (EYFS-UK)
We value diversity among our staff and children and actively welcome all families into our dynamic learning community. The qualified multilingual staff offer children a wide range of routines and curriculum activities and active learning experiences to stimulate their optimal growth and development, in an intentional and play-based environment. In addition to full and half day sessions we offer a range of dynamic afternoon and holiday programmes which include Art, Drama, Technology and Physical Development in both English and Arabic mediums. We actively encourage visits from prospective parents and invite you to attend at any time for a personal tour and discussion with the centre management team.

We’ve been waiting for this! ☀️🌿

As the Dubai weather starts to cool down, our little learners are heading back outdoors, with plenty of space to move, explore, play and discover.

Outdoor play is an important part of the day at AKELC. It gives children opportunities to build their physical skills, explore their surroundings, develop confidence and, of course, enjoy some much-needed fresh air.

And we have a feeling they’ve missed it just as much as we have! 🤭

Messy hands. Paint everywhere. Foam in places it probably wasn’t meant to be.

But underneath all that mess, there’s a whole lot of learning happening.

Messy play gives young children the freedom to explore with their senses, test their ideas, solve problems, develop physical skills and learn alongside their friends, all through experiences that feel like play to them.

At AKELC, experiences like these are an important part of how our children learn. Through hands-on exploration and purposeful play, we give them the space to be curious, experiment, create and discover things for themselves. 💛

Because in the Early Years, some of the most meaningful learning can get wonderfully messy!

Never underestimate a determined toddler!

A quick look, a little thinking… and just like that, they found their way through.

Moments like these show just how naturally curiosity, independence and problem-solving develop when children are given the space to explore and figure things out for themselves. 💛

Safe to say, our toddlers were one step ahead of us this time! 🤭

The smiles say it all 🤭

Saying goodbye to Mum can be a big moment for little ones, but then there are friends to see, things to explore, fun activities to enjoy and VERY important playing to get to!

And behind all that fun? Purposeful learning, an experienced Early Years team and the British EYFS curriculum, all in a centre designed especially for your child.

If you’re wondering whether your little one could feel just as at home at AKELC, come and see us for yourself. 💛
