LVS Ascot's football programme sits inside a three year partnership with Southampton FC, giving pupils access to Southampton's academy coaching methods alongside the school's own football scholarships. Places run from Year 7 through to a full time programme from Year 12, open to boys and girls, with scholarships that can cover up to fifty percent of school fees.

Their Director of Football, Nick Bovingdon, will be part of the coaching and assessment team on the pitch in Hong Kong.

Students train daily with the u18s at Pontefract Collieries FC, a semi professional club drawing crowds of more than 500 every week. The club recently sold Jack Shepherd to Barnsley, where he went on to feature against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Day to day, players get UEFA licenced coaching sessions, strength and conditioning built on sports science, bespoke expert analysis, and genuine academy placement opportunities.

John Matthews, Head of Sport, leads the football and high performance programme at Read and will be in attendance across all four days to talk through the route into men's senior football.
