Seeing the Pope visit Bamenda in the midst of the Anglophone crisis that began in 2016 is deeply moving.

It’s a powerful reminder that hope can still find its way into places many now struggle to return to, even those of us born and raised in the Northwest, especially Bamenda.

This visit speaks of compassion, solidarity, and the courage to stand with people in difficult times.

It reminds us that Bamenda is more than a place marked by crisis, it is home, identity, and resilience.

I hold on to the hope that one day, Bamenda will be whole again. 😢
