At Cambridgeshire Nursery we have created a relaxed, serene, natural play and learning environment. We trust that the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, that it invites your child to play and creates a sense of belonging. In our Base room’s we believe in giving children the freedom to explore and learn in their own way and at their own pace under the expert guidance of our team. All Base rooms have a minimalistic design to inspire your child’s senses without over stimulating them. Children can stretch out to actively engage in play allowing for little bones to grow and big muscles to develop, while active learning takes place. It’s an opportunity to physically manipulate their bodies, to stretch out and shake out and feel emotionally better for it. Our garden is a place to relax, to reflect, have stories, sing songs, use big movements, explore, touch, see and hear. At Cambridgeshire we believe that the outdoors offers a different, unique learning environment. It allows for children to engage with nature, to see the changes that she brings. It offers the chance to become a little gardener and watch with pride as your produce grows, before helping prepare it to share at snack time. You could become a F1 mechanic as you fix and wash your car before racing around the track. Or maybe you could simply chat with friends using the new words you are learning every day, while looking for animals in the clouds as you marvel at the dens that you have made all by yourself. And one of the rare opportunities that should always be taken advantage of in Dubai is the sense of freedom you get from dancing in the rain. Fresh air and vitamin D are nature’s gift and in abundance, so we encourage children to spend time outdoors as it improves health and lets their imagination blossom.

🌸✨ Happy Teaching Assistants’ Day! ✨🌸

Yesterday, we celebrated the wonderful women who make such a special difference in the lives of our little ones and play such an important role in the running of our nursery. We simply couldn’t function without them. They are an essential part of our nursery family and play a vital role in making everything we do possible. 💕

Thank you for the countless ways you support our children and our teachers, and for helping to make our nursery look and feel so wonderful every day. Thank you for your patience when the day gets busy, your kindness when a little heart needs reassurance, your creativity when learning comes alive, and your dedication that so often happens quietly behind the scenes. 💐

We appreciate you, we celebrate you, and we feel so lucky to have you as part of our Cambridgeshire nursery family! 🤍✨

🌸 World Gratitude Day 🌸

Our nursery was filled with gratitude as we celebrated World Gratitude Day together! We all came dressed as beautiful gratitude flowers and spent the day learning about what it means to feel grateful and appreciate the people and things around us. 🌻

We created our very own gratitude jars by planting flowers with the names of the people and things we are thankful for, such as Mummy, Daddy, our families and friends. We explored where our fresh fruits and vegetables come from through a sensory experience, developing an appreciation for the food we enjoy and the farmers and people who work hard to grow, prepare and provide it for us. 🥕🍎

Our children also made marks, drawings and little letters to share messages of gratitude through our very own Gratitude Post Office 💌, before adding to our beautiful Gratitude Tree. Our families joined in too, writing something they are grateful for on a leaf and adding it to our tree, creating a wonderful collection of gratitude from across our nursery community. 🌳

A beautiful day filled with kindness, appreciation and little reminders to stop, notice the good around us and be thankful for all that we have. 💛🌸

When story time comes alive! 🐷📖✨

At Cambridgeshire Nursery, we believe story time should be so much more than simply reading the words on a page — it’s about bringing stories to life! 💫

Our wonderful FS1 teachers stepped into character and transformed The Three Little Pigs into a magical, immersive experience for our little ones. 🐷🏠🐺

The children were completely captivated as they watched the story unfold, with the biggest smiles, curious eyes and excitement! 😍

We believe storytelling is a powerful way to spark imagination, develop language and communication skills, build understanding, and most importantly, create joyful and memorable learning experiences. ❤️

And judging by those bright, captivated faces… we think our little ones absolutely LOVED The Three Little Pigs! 🐷🐷🐷✨

There are so many things we don’t worry about in the Early Years 🤍

We don’t worry if a child needs a little longer to warm up, if they don’t join in straight away, if they want the same activity again and again, or if their artwork looks nothing like the example. 🎨

We don’t worry about a little mess, big feelings, mistakes or questions without answers. 🫶

And we certainly don’t expect every child to learn, communicate, play or develop in exactly the same way. ✨

Because children are not meant to fit into one timeline, one personality or one way of doing things. 🥰

Sometimes a child needs to watch before they join in. Sometimes they need reassurance before they feel brave enough to try. Sometimes they need to move, repeat, make a mess, get something wrong or simply have a quiet day. 🌱

None of these things need to be “fixed”.

Our role is to notice, to listen, to understand and to give children the time and space they need to grow. 🌟

We care far more about nurturing curious, confident and secure children than whether they are always sitting still, getting the right answer or keeping up with everyone around them. 💫

Because childhood isn’t about getting everything right.

It’s about feeling safe enough to explore, make mistakes, ask questions, discover what you love and slowly become who you are. 💛

And that’s what we want for every child in our care. 🌱🤍

A wonderful start to a brand-new academic year! 🤩✨

Today we welcomed our children back, and what a beautiful day it was! It was so lovely to see everyone reunited again, and the sweetest part was how quickly they slipped back into their friendships, laughter and routines, as though no time had passed at all. 💛🥰

We got stuck into lots of exciting, hands-on activities, filled with curiosity, creativity and plenty of fun. We enjoyed our ball skills session with Coach Roman 🥎, as well as French with our Miss Aya. 🇫🇷

We are so proud of how wonderfully the children settled and how positively they embraced the start of this new chapter 💫

Here’s to another incredible year together — learning, growing, laughing, making memories and having lots of fun along the way! 🌈

It’s been VERY quiet around here this week… Something is missing.. So we fixed it! 👀😂

The nursery just isn’t quite the same without all the noise, laughter and little adventures! 💛

✨🤍 Step inside our sensory room 🤍✨

Our sensory room is a calm, welcoming space that encourages exploration, discovery and regulation and, most importantly, offers a little moment of peace. 💛💫

It’s a magical little space where every corner invites children to see, touch, hear and explore. Our sensory wall is filled with opportunities for hands-on discovery, from interactive light-up buttons and switches to locks to twist and turn, tactile textures to feel, sounds to listen to, and so much more. 🛎️🎶

As soon as you step inside, the colourful calming lights create a soothing, magical atmosphere. One of our favourite parts is our Colour Monster sensory station, inspired by the wonderful story The Colour Monster. It offers a lovely way to explore emotions, colours and feelings through sensory play. 💙💚

There are also plenty of fidget toys, sensory bottles, tactile treasures and many other resources to discover and explore. From watching the movement inside a sensory bottle to squeezing, spinning, touching, shaking and exploring different textures, there are endless ways to engage the senses. 🌈💫

💛 Encouraging Independence at Nursery 💛

At Cambridgeshire Nursery, we believe that independence starts with the little things 🥰

From feeding themselves and drinking water, to putting on their own shoes, tidying away toys and having a go at new challenges, we give our children the time, space and encouragement to “have a go” for themselves 🌟

Independence isn’t about expecting children to do everything alone. It’s about giving them opportunities to try, make choices, problem-solve, persevere and build confidence in what they can do ✨

Sometimes that means letting them wobble as they balance, have another go when something doesn’t work, or take a little longer to complete a task 💫

And these are skills that can be encouraged at home too! Giving your child the opportunity to do things for themselves, even when it might be quicker to step in — helps build confidence, resilience and a real sense of “I can do it!” 💪
