The Arabic Language Centre

The Arabic Language Centre Established in 1980, ALC teaches Arabic as a foreign language from Beginners through to Advanced Levels. Classes are held for two hours, twice a week.

The Arabic Language Centre offers public courses at its school, which is situated at Dubai World Trade Cente. Courses run six times per year and are 30 hours in duration. We offer four separate timings for your convenience:

Morning: 9.00am - 11.00am or 9.30 - 11.30am
Lunctime: 12.00pm - 2.00pm or 1.30pm-3.30pm
Afternoon: 4.00pm - 6.00pm
Evening: 6.15pm - 8.15pm

In addition, we offer in house courses to organisations who need to train several members of their staff in Arabic at one time. Such courses can be held either on site at your premises or at our language centre. Furthermore, we can also tailor the course to your specific industry requirements, if necessary. For those needing more flexibility, we can also arrange private and semi private tuition.

On this day twenty years ago, we said goodbye to our beloved Maliha Wehbe.
Every day since, her voice has stayed with us.

Her story is a testament to what vision and perseverance can build. It began quietly, with a handful of students in Beirut and a love for Arabic that she couldn’t keep to herself.
By 1980, that love had become the Arabic Language Centre.
In time, it became a legacy.

Maliha never taught for recognition. She taught for the moment a student smiled, when Arabic finally rolled off the tongue, and she gave that moment to thousands.

Maliha Wehbe (1938–2006) gave us more than a school.
She changed the way Arabic is seen and taught, and she did it the only way she knew: with patience, with passion, and with love for her family, her students, and everyone whose life she touched.

Her legacy lives on in every word we teach.
