تجربة تعليمية ملهمة جمعتني اليوم افتراضيًا مع معلمي المواد الوزارية في Swiss International School Qatar، حيث استكشفنا معًا كيفية تصميم وحدات بحثية قائمة على المفاهيم ضمن إطار برنامج International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP)
ركزنا خلال الورشة على:
🔹 فهم الفرق بين المنهج ثنائي الأبعاد والمنهج ثلاثي الأبعاد.
🔹 صياغة الأفكار المركزية بطريقة واضحة وعميقة.
🔹 تصميم تجارب تعلم تعزز الاستقصاء وتبني الفهم المفاهيمي لدى الطلبة.
تميزت الورشة بتفاعل ثري من المشاركين، ونقاشات عميقة، وتبادل للأفكار والخبرات العملية التي أضافت قيمة حقيقية للحوار. وقد عكس هذا التفاعل حرص المعلمين على تطوير ممارسات تعليمية تركز على بناء المعنى والفهم العميق، وليس فقط تقديم المحتوى.

An inspiring virtual learning experience today with the Ministry Subjects teachers at Swiss International School Qatar, where we explored how to design concept-based units of inquiry within the framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).
Together, we focused on:
🔹 Understanding the difference between two-dimensional and three-dimensional curriculum design.
🔹 Crafting clear and meaningful central ideas.
🔹 Designing learning experiences that foster inquiry and conceptual understanding.
The session was enriched by the participants’ active engagement, thoughtful discussions, and valuable exchange of experiences and practical insights. Their enthusiasm highlighted the power of moving beyond content coverage toward deeper understanding and authentic learning.

Three days. One shared purpose. Multiple countries, one learning community.
It was a privilege to work with a diverse group of educators from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Lebanon in an intensive workshop on Building Your IB–PYP. What made this experience truly powerful wasn’t only the content—it was the depth of dialogue, the honest reflections, and the collective commitment to rethinking teaching and learning.
Together, we explored how the PYP can move beyond framework into lived practice—through inquiry, agency, and meaningful connections. The level of engagement, the questions raised, and the willingness to challenge perspectives reminded me once again: impactful professional learning happens when educators feel safe to think, question, and grow together.
Grateful for the invitation and the thoughtful organization by Educational Development Institute – Qatar Foundation, and for every participant who made these three days rich, inspiring, and real.
ثلاثة أيام… هدف واحد… ومجتمع تعلّم واحد رغم تعدد الدول.
كان من دواعي سروري العمل مع مجموعة مميزة من المعلمين من قطر والسعودية والأردن ولبنان ضمن ورشة مكثفة بعنوان Building Your IB–PYP. ما ميّز هذه التجربة لم يكن المحتوى فقط، بل عمق النقاشات، وصدق التأملات، والرغبة الحقيقية في إعادة التفكير بممارسات التعليم والتعلّم.
خلال الورشة، عملنا معاً على نقل برنامج السنوات الابتدائية من كونه إطاراً نظرياً إلى ممارسة حقيقية قائمة على الاستقصاء، وتنمية دور الطالب، وبناء تعلم ذي معنى. مستوى التفاعل والأسئلة والنقاشات عكس شغفاً مهنياً عالياً وإيماناً بأهمية التطوير المستمر.
كل الشكر لـ Educational Development Institute – Qatar Foundation على التنظيم والدعوة، ولكل معلم ومعلمة كانوا جزءاً من هذه التجربة الغنية والملهمة.

على مدار أربعة أيام، كان التركيز منصبًّا على تطوير الممارسات التعليمية وتعزيز جودة التعلم في البيئات الرقمية، من خلال تدريب استهدف جميع معلمي المراحل الثلاث (رياض الأطفال، الابتدائي، والثانوي) ولكافة المواد في المنهج البريطاني في *مدرسة رويال الخاصة الإنجليزية – الفجيرة*، حيث خُصص كل يوم لمجموعة مختلفة لضمان عمق التفاعل وجودة التطبيق.
تمحورت الجلسات حول بناء تعلم يتمركز حول المتعلم، وتخطيط مرن قائم على نواتج واضحة، إلى جانب توظيف استراتيجيات تعزز التفكير الناقد والتفاعل الحقيقي، بما يدعم تحويل الحصص إلى تجارب تعلم رقمية أكثر عمقًا وتأثيرًا.
ما يميز هذا النوع من العمل هو التركيز على الأثر الحقيقي داخل الصف، وليس فقط على الأدوات أو المنصات، بل على كيفية تحويل كل حصة إلى فرصة تعلم ذات معنى.

For four consecutive days of online engagement, the focus was on elevating teaching practices and enhancing the quality of learning in virtual environments at *Royal Private English School – Fujairah*. The training covered all teachers across the three stages (Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary) and across all subjects within the British curriculum, with each day dedicated to a different group to ensure depth and meaningful interaction.
The sessions emphasized learner-centered design, flexible outcome-based planning, and instructional strategies that promote critical thinking, authentic engagement, and deeper learning—even in online settings.
What truly matters is not the platform, but the impact—turning every lesson into a meaningful learning experience.
