Here are the jolly jets and racing rockets exercising their design thinking and problem solving skills in a team setting. The little ones are trying to come up with the best solution to help the gingerbread man cross over the river. A bridge was the most popular result of a brainstorming session, with various different prototypes created by our little designers. While a cylindrical bridge was one of the prototypes, the children realized it was not a sturdy option for the gingerbread man to maintain balance. Other more sustainable ideas included a bridge made of blocks, lego and card board. All wonderful, creative ideas!! 💡

We’re making use of the wonderful weather at our neighborhood park today. Giving children natural play environments to collaborate, explore and discover is an important part of their development. Natural elements such as sand, water, and fresh air provide a stimulating environment, encouraging children to step out of their comfort zones and explore the activities they enjoy most!

Star of the week: Little Aiska started with us in the Rainbows room. She has experienced such a wonderful growth curve under the wings of Ms. Nicola and Ms. Monica; as beautifully reflected in this picture, she is now ready to move on to the Racing Rockets soon after her 2nd birthday 💕 It is so exciting for us to watch our little caterpillars evolve into beautiful butterflies as we observe and analyze their metamorphosis journey 🦋

Absolutely no filters needed for these smiles 💕 Making friends is an important part of your child’s development at preschool. Preschool friendships support with the development of socio-emotional skills, as children learn to be sensitive to others’ viewpoints, develop behavioral sensibilities and understand the nature of conversations and interactions with peers. These are all invaluable and beautiful developments to nurture in your little ones 💕

Here’s little Nahyan, indulging in an archaeology excavation activity! Hands-on project based learning is one of the best ways to introduce children to the real work and real careers that they will one day take on themselves. As children dig for fossils and what used to exist in the world before, they also learn about the history of our world, and what it used to look like before! 🌍

Sink or Float Experiment! Who said Physics is daunting? Here are Martin, Lowella and Adam loving this STEAM experiment as they explore and understand why certain materials sink, while others float. The children used vegetables as the subject, and tested their hypotheses by dunking the vegetables in a tub of water. Hands-on learning through play can really do wonders with all development domains and support children’s readiness for school!
