We were delighted to welcome Dr. Jessamy Hibberd, an internationally bestselling author, psychologist, and TEDx speaker. This event allowed our students to explore strategies for overcoming imposter syndrome, a common challenge where individuals struggle to recognise their worth and achievements.

We appreciate the contributions of Dr. Magdalena Mosanya, the Discipline Lead for Psychology, Joseph John Nalloor, Associate Dean Engagement and Discipline Lead for Communication, and Emirates Airline Festival of Literature for their support in making this enriching experience possible for our students.

Two of our Bachelor of Communication and Media students won the gold medal at the Dubai Lynx Creative Student Hackathon 2025, sponsored by Dubai Media City, Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). The two-day hackathon brought together four student teams from universities across Dubai to pitch and present their marketing campaigns.

As part of their victory, the team will receive an exclusive session from IMPACT BBDO, one of the region’s leading advertising agencies, to further refine and enhance their campaign.

The training initiative aims to equip content creators with advanced skills to create impactful digital content.
