This week, our Arabic & Islamic Department proudly hosted an inspiring Arabic Calligraphy Competition, celebrating the timeless beauty and elegance of the Arabic calligraphy. Students showcased remarkable creativity, precision and dedication as they transformed words into works of art, reflecting both skill and deep appreciation for this cherished cultural tradition.
Football legends were not born champions, they became champions through setbacks, missed chances and never giving up.
Today, our students embraced the spirit of resilience, celebrating effort, determination and growth both on and off the pitch.
It was wonderful to see them come together in their favourite football team jerseys as we celebrated the values that make true champions. ⚽

We are pleased to introduce Ms Leyla Gadid in her role as Head of Sixth Form and Careers Counsellor, from the academic year 2026–2027.
With nearly 20 years of experience across the UK and UAE, Ms Gadid brings a strong background in education, careers guidance, and student progression. Her work has supported students from diverse backgrounds in achieving academic success and moving into a wide range of university and career pathways.
As we continue to strengthen our Sixth Form provision at ASPS, we look forward to the vision, leadership, and expertise she brings to this next stage of our journey.

This year, our students’ journey in Art, Design & Technology has been both enriching and purposeful. Our vision was to provide meaningful, real-world learning experiences that develop essential life skills alongside creativity and practical understanding.
We successfully reintroduced Design & Technology into the curriculum, which has been a great success. Students have responded with enthusiasm and curiosity, engaging positively with hands-on activities such as cross-stitch, table setting, folding clothes, packing lunches, tying shoelaces, and other life-skill based tasks that support our focus on advanced learning skills.
For many students, this has been a completely new experience within school, and they have embraced it with confidence and enjoyment. As important as core academic subjects, these experiences play a vital role in preparing students for everyday life and are an essential part of the learning we aim to provide.
