In this Summer Camp activity, we’re looking at auditory-visual integration, the brain’s ability to link what we hear with what we see.
The Neuropsychology Behind It:
Auditory Attention & Discrimination: Isolating sound cues from a countdown timer to identify specific animal calls.
Visual Scanning & Processing: Rapidly scanning animal cutouts, filtering out distractions to find the matching card.
Cross-Modal Integration: Instantly linking auditory signals with stored linguistic concepts and visual memory.
