So much laughter and dances yesterday at our magical stay and play: playdough stations, music sing along and some wonderful dance moves we had, even by the littlest one of all. A warm and wonderful afternoon it was, so magical🪄

Isn’t it much more fun to draw under a table then on top of it? What an incredible idea of one of our wonderful teachers to develop the love for writing and enhancing our students fine motor skills. At our Edu Fun Nursery we encourage child centered learning, where our teachers continuously try to understand the interest of our students and focus their areas of learning around the students. Because children are naturally creative, it is our job to give them the freedom, materials and space: to let their creativity blossom🌸 to its full potential. 🧑‍🎨

Improving our fine motor skills by tracing lines and handwriting. Handwriting requires the coordination of small and precise movements of the fingers and hands to form letters and words, using the muscles in our hands. It is incredible to see the improvements almost on a daily basis. Our wonderful team of teachers have patience and are calming and caring for all our students and want them not only to excel academically but also to develop social skills whilst having fun. ‘Children want the same things adult adults want: to laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained and delighted’ ~ dr. Let your messy play ‘sparkle’ ✨a little today, because messy classrooms are where the magic happens. Glitters and water are a delight for our FS1 students when they discover how it feels, the look and the smell their faces instantly start to glow just a little more. It is also a wonderful way of building social and fine motor skills as their little fingers try to grasp the glitters which is so very important for later development. It is vital in fostering an idea on how combining materials changes the outcome of any material. At Edu Fun Nursery we believe in letting our students forstering curiosity and empowering materials as it helps them to encourage to try new things.

The more things you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the the more places you will go. ~ dr. Suess. Library mornings are an important part of our daily rhythm. During the nursery and foundation stage years at our nursery our students are at the start of the literacy journey. It is one of the most essential parts for them to succeed later in education. Our reading tree with all those wonderfull books and fairytales helps to foster a love for literacy and it’s a place where fairytales do really come true. Maybe a few more weeks?! 🤞Our outdoor play area is designed in such a way that our students need to use their physical strength, muscles, bones and all their body movements to climb up and down, bike and run around. Physical development is one of our main focuses within the EYFS framework that we follow. Because physical education is the only area of learning which makes your heart race!

Originally from the Netherlands, my journey has taken me through various roles, including serving as Operational Manager at International Preschools in Singapore and as a Nursery Manager here in Dubai at a British Nursery before I joined the Edu Fun Family! My experiences have not only broadened my horizons but have also fuelled a strong desire to foster excellence in early childhood education. Through my international journey, I have developed insights into diverse cultures and the dynamics of education systems. 💦Pom Pom water Splash 💦 what a wonderful morning we had at Edu Fun Nursery Al Safa today. The combination of water play with a slight breeze put a smile on our FS1 students. Outside play is the best! We explored different objects, sizes and the splashy adventure 💧 helped us to build our fine motor skills while enhancing sensory exploration and fostering social interaction. There are no limits to splashing and throwing the water which allows us to fully discover all wonderful things we can do with it!
