සවුත් ඇප්‍රිකන් එයාර්වේස් (South African Airways) ආයතනයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ ගුවන් නියමුවෙකු වූ විලියම් චැන්ඩ්ලර්, වසර විසි දෙකක පමණ කාලයක් ව්‍යාජ ගුවන් නියමු බලපත්‍රයක් භාවිත කරමින් ගුවන් යානා පදවා ඇති බව හෙළිවීමත් සමඟ ඔහුට සිය තනතුරෙන් ඉල්ලා අස්වීමට සිදු විය. වාණිජ ගුවන් යානයක ප්‍රධාන නියමුවෙකු (Captain) ලෙස කටයුතු කිරීමට අත්‍යවශ්‍ය ඉහළම සුදුසුකම වන 'ගුවන් ප්‍රවාහන නියමු බලපත්‍රය' (ATPL) ඔහු සතුව නොතිබූ බවත්, ඔහු ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබූ සහතික පත්‍රය ව්‍යාජ එකක් බවත් බලධාරීන් විසින් තහවුරු කර ගන්නා ලදී. මෙම වංචාව අනාවරණය වූයේ ජර්මනිය බලා පියාසර කරමින් තිබූ ගුවන් යානයක් අසාමාන්‍ය ලෙස හැසිරවීම හේතුවෙන් සිදු කළ අභ්‍යන්තර පරීක්ෂණයකදීය.

​දශක දෙකකට අධික කාලයක් කිසිදු බාධාවකින් තොරව මෙම වංචාව පවත්වාගෙන යාමට ඔහුට හැකිවීම ගුවන් සේවා ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ දැඩි කතාබහට මෙන්ම විවේචනයට ලක් විය. විශේෂයෙන්ම ගුවන් සමාගම් සතු නියාමන ක්‍රියාවලීන්හි පවතින දුර්වලතා සහ සහතික පත්‍ර සත්‍යාපනය කිරීමේදී සිදුව ඇති නොසලකා හැරීම් මෙමඟින් මැනවින් පැහැදිලි වේ. වාසනාවකට මෙන් ඔහුගේ සේවා කාලය තුළ කිසිදු ගුවන් අනතුරක් සිදු නොවූවත්, නිසි සුදුසුකම් නොමැති අයෙකු මෙවැනි වගකිවයුතු තනතුරක රැඳී සිටීම මගී ආරක්ෂාව පිළිබඳව බරපතල ගැටලු මතු කරයි. මෙම සිදුවීමෙන් පසු ගුවන් නියමුවන්ගේ බලපත්‍ර පරීක්ෂා කිරීමේ ක්‍රියාවලිය වඩාත් දැඩි කිරීමට ලොව පුරා ගුවන් සේවා ආයතනවල අවධානය යොමු වී ඇත.

Today, I just felt like sharing something from my heart with all of you.

When I created this community around two years ago, it was only a small idea, just a place where a few aviation lovers could gather and talk about aircraft, airlines, and our passion for the sky. Honestly, I never imagined it would grow into what it is today.

Now, every single day, I see active discussions, questions, answers, news sharing, spotting photos, experiences, and valuable knowledge being exchanged. We now have aviation knowledge collectors, professionals, students, enthusiasts, and many talented plane spotters, especially from Sri Lanka and also from different parts of the world. That is something truly special.

This group is no longer just a group; it has become a real Aviation Family. People help each other, guide newcomers, share opportunities, and keep the aviation spirit alive even during challenging times in the industry.

As the Founder, I feel very proud and deeply grateful. This success is not because of me; it is because of every member who posts, comments, supports others, and helps maintain a friendly and respectful environment.
