PUTTER FACE IS KING 👑

At impact, face angle has a much bigger influence on where the ball starts than club path.

You can have a imperfect stroke path and still start the ball on line if the face is controlled.

But if the face is open or closed at impact? You’re immediately fighting your start line.

Stop chasing the “perfect” path and start learning to control the face. 🎯

Face controls start line. Path plays a supporting role.

BLADE vs MALLET PUTTERS ⛳️

Which one is right for you? 👀

🔹 Blade Putters
• More traditional look
• Typically more toe hang options
• Greater feel and feedback
• Suits players who prefer a compact head

🔸 Mallet Putters
• Higher MOI = more forgiveness
• More stable on off-centre strikes
• Easier alignment for many golfers
• Often suits players wanting more stability

The best putter is the one that helps you aim it, start it and roll it consistently.

10 FEELS TOUR PROS HAVE THAT MOST GOLFERS DON’T 👀⛳️

1️⃣ Pressure into the ground
Use the ground to create power and stability.

2️⃣ A wide backswing
Create width rather than just lifting the arms.

3️⃣ Lower body starts first
Let the legs and hips lead the downswing.

4️⃣ Hands drop from the top
Rather than immediately throwing them towards the ball.

5️⃣ Stay over the ball
Especially with irons to improve strike and compression.

6️⃣ Clubhead stays behind the hands
Helping create a better delivery into impact.

7️⃣ Rotate through impact
Keep turning rather than sliding towards the target.

8️⃣ Hands ahead at impact
Create better shaft lean and ball striking.

9️⃣ Swing through the ball
Impact is something you move through — not stop at.

🔟 Exaggerate the feel
Sometimes you need a BIG feel to make a SMALL change.

Remember: FEEL Vs REAL 🎯

10 REASONS WHY YOU MISS PUTTS ⛳️📉

The higher the level, the smaller the margins. Here’s where I’d look in order 👇

1️⃣ Your read is wrong
You’re misjudging slope, break or the true fall line before you even address the ball.

2️⃣ Your intended speed doesn’t match your read
Every read is speed-dependent. Change the entry speed and the required start line changes with it.

3️⃣ Your aim doesn’t match your read
You may read the putt correctly but aim the putter face somewhere completely different.

4️⃣ Your face angle at impact is inconsistent
Small changes in face angle can create significant start-line errors — especially as distance increases.

5️⃣ Your strike location moves across the face
Heel/toe strike variation changes ball speed, feel and can influence launch direction.

6️⃣ Your face rotation doesn’t match your stroke pattern
Too much or too little rotation relative to your natural arc can make face control difficult to repeat.

7️⃣ Your impact numbers are inconsistent
Changes in loft, rise angle and shaft position affect launch, roll and ultimately speed control.

8️⃣ Your stroke length doesn’t calibrate to distance
Great putters naturally scale stroke length while maintaining predictable rhythm and acceleration.

9️⃣ Your perception changes under pressure
When consequence increases, aim, tempo and movement patterns can subtly change without you noticing.

🔟 Your practice isn’t representative enough
Perfect mechanics on a straight 8-footer means very little if you never train different slopes, speeds, reads and consequences.

📌 Save this and work through the list next time you’re struggling on the greens.

DOES PUTTER LIE ANGLE REALLY MATTER? 👀⛳️

Yes — but it’s only one piece of the putting puzzle.

Lie angle influences how naturally the putter sits at address and how well it matches your posture, hand height and stroke.

A well-fitted lie angle can help:

🎯 Create a more comfortable setup
📐 Allow the putter to sit naturally
🏌️ Match your posture and hand position
⚡️ Improve consistency of delivery
🧠 Reduce the need for unnecessary compensations

But remember — your putter doesn’t have to sit perfectly flat to putt well. Plenty of great putters have the toe slightly up at address.

The goal isn’t perfection — it’s finding a lie angle that complements your setup, aim and delivery.

Entry speed is one of the most underrated skills in putting. ⛳️

The speed the ball enters the hole directly affects how much of the hole you can actually use.

🎯 Better entry speed = effectively a bigger hole
📈 Too much speed = less break + smaller margin for error
🐌 Too little speed = the ball becomes more vulnerable to slope and imperfections
🧠 Consistent speed makes green reading easier
🔥 Great putters match LINE + SPEED — not just one or the other

You can read the putt perfectly, but if your entry speed doesn’t match that read, you’ll still miss.

Stop practising to just “hit the line.” Start practising how the ball arrives at the hole.

5 WAYS TO ENSURE YOU HIT MORE GREENS 🎯⛳️

Want to give yourself more birdie chances and stop wasting shots around the green? Focus on these 5 things 👇

1️⃣ Know your REAL carry distances
Stop guessing how far each club goes. Knowing your numbers makes club selection much easier.

2️⃣ Aim for the fat side of the green
Pins aren’t always targets. Play away from trouble and give yourself more room for error.

3️⃣ Prioritise strike over speed
A centred strike with control will beat swinging at 100% every time.

4️⃣ Factor in the conditions 💨
Wind, temperature, lie and elevation can completely change how far the ball travels.

5️⃣ Improve your dispersion, not just your best shots
Your average shot pattern matters more than the perfect one. Build a predictable miss and play for it.
